Faux friends come alive at the Long Island Puppet Theatre

i am a kid and i love that place i had my birthday every year since i was 3 yaers old and i am 6 i love the disco party part there!!!!!!!!!!

Well. As a Long Island Parent I always go to the website www.exploreli.com to see what is going on for the children on the neighboorhood; So looking for what to do with my 4 year old daughter on Columbus Day, I took a shot and drove all the way to Hicksville to try something different. First I looked on the Long Island Puppet Theater and Museum website to see the schedule for the Day, which had few shows scheduled: 11:30AM/3:00PM Halloween Extravaganza and Little Red Riding Hood and 3 Little Pigs at 1:30PM; And a special event Meet Snow White at 4:00PM. We got there 15 min late for the 1:30 PM show and the lady that opened the door( the owner) said that the show had started already, but would be another one later and even better event at 4:00Pm. She charge us U$20.00 to come in, we watched half of the show. When the show finished she said that we had to live because that was a birthday party going on in there and that the show scheduled for 3:00PM had been canceled. So I ask her why she didn't tell me in advance that we wouldn't be able to watch another show. And she said that she had the right to cancel any show that she wanted to. We wanted at least hang out on the place a little longer,take pictures,...she threw us out, she starts yelling and cursing, was very humiliating and embarrassing, the way that she behaved was so umprofessional that made me wonder why people like her has a business that envolves children? Well that was my first and last time on that place and I don't recommend to anyone. The experience was very traumatic for my 4 year old too that asked me why the lady was saying bad words and said that the police should get our money back.

This totally abnoxious woman came to The Long Island Puppet Theatre with her young child about 15 minutes late, after the show started. She was told she is late, but she did not care: she wanted to see the rest of the show. After the show, she refused to leave, and made sure her daughter was eating pizza in the private birthday party room with the rest of the children. When told she must leave, she started to curse and still did not call her daughter to get up from the private party table. Again, she was politely ask to leave, but she refused, and with a bad attitude continued to raise her voice. At that time, she was asked to leave and to never come back again!

I have been there and Isabella is right. That woman is money hungry and does not give a hoot about anything that is not green. Her spouse (the artist) is just happy he is "creating" and that he does with the most excellent talent I have ever seen. She needs to go, it is not enough that she is abnoxious. She smells like a house on fire. Additionally, they need puppeteers. They cannot do a show their voices stink, and they do not know how to follow a story line. The place is great it is beautiful . It is like this: you have this beautiful house (with the exception of the woman owner) chandeliers, beautiful decor etc.. But there is a big crack in the foundation. They should have that placed as seating room only every week and they dont. Makes me wonder how the blank they stay in business. Beautiful to look at but a horror and expensive .
