Kylie the Princess, Madonna the Queen

Kylie has been receiving wesh wishes from Madonna since the start of her cancer ordeal wishing her love and light.

Kylie happily described herself as the Princess but reiterated that Madonna is the one and only Queen of Pop.

Madonna's latest album has gone to no 1 in 41 countries, her latest worldwide tour is set to gross 200 million USD, the highest by a female ever, she has been breaking records for over 25 years in a non stop consistent and successful career and that is hy Madonna has always been titled Queen of Pop and Elvis for similar reasons has always been referred to as the King. Kylie, who I love has called Madonna the Queen several times and has cited her as her musical muse as has Danii Minogue. Acoording to Guinness World Records Madonna is the most successful female recording artist of all Time. As per latest phonographic Industry figures, Madonna is the biggest selling female artist of all Time.

I like Kylie and i like Madonna. but i like them both differently for different reasons. Madonna is an icon and pioneer. Kylie is an icon but for different reasons but she is mainly an icon for gay men for them to project her fantasies and dreams on to. i'm a kylie fan but i can accept that she is not in the same league as Madonna. and no, kylie isn't more beautiful and hasn't got a stronger voice as she would be much more respected and acknowledged than Madonna. Kylie has always been a very big star in England and that is her biggest market as Michael pointed out.

Thank you. I love Kylie but as you say, Madonna is by far the bigger star. Best of luck to both of them, Kylie is strong and I wish her a full recovery, she looks amazing and has come through her treatment. Long life to both acts.:)

i like em both that both rock in there owen way! i live in new zealand and kylie is bigger here and in ozzie! umm but madonna is big her but kylie has a bigger fan base over this side of the world! anyway what everone think of miss dannii minogue?? but to finnish that one of Kylie and madonna are as good as each other thay are both great singers and look at how long thay both been round! how kewls that!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't say original cause you're implying that Kylie is a pioneer for that sound and that she was soley responsible for creating it. she would have had to have been around and made an impact in the Seventies like Abba and the Sex Pistols when they were big and we all know she wasn't around then. she like many others have copied it. as for Madonna, she copied it but at least she was around when the whole disco thing took off, so naturally Madonna was going to go back to her roots eventually with Confessions.

queen of what? Local acts in the UK? Madonna's certainly made more of an impact. Confessions is the latest example. if showgirl has made any impact at all it will be all over the news of her cancer more than anything which I think has overshadowed it. Looks like Kylie is the one that is over. I think we have seen all that she has to offer.

Kylie is deffiently much more sexy than madonna with beautiful features and body, nice legs, waist and bum. i think kylie in the period of 1997-2004 was the sexiest and prettiest women in the world. she is the most unique looking person in the world. she also has a lovely warm personality.

On the other hand madonna has had bigger songs than kylie. but the best song out of the two biggest female artist is "cant get you out of my head" moreover if kylie was as big as madonna in U.S.A then perhaps kylie would of sold more records than madonna.

First off, Delia you are so far off it's not even funny. I am in the US and I can say that Madonna is not nearly as big as you think. I love them both and have seen each of their shows repeatedly, but Madonna's last two albums (Confessions, American Life) sold very poorly, esp. AL, where as "Fever" alone sold close to 2 million copies here ALONE! She's won the coveted Grammy and had Times Square at a stand still when she signed autographs (I was there)and she consistently gets great reviews...many of which say Madonna needs to take note (I can scan and send to you to prove my point). Plus Kylie, not Madonna, holds the record for the most sellout nights for a female artist...Kylie (11) Madonna (9) both at Wembley and this is in Guinness also. Tighten up your facts, boo.
