Nirvana Fans Furious About Chili Peppers Video

red hot chili peppers were NOT being disrespectful at all - they were showing the different phases of music that the world went through!! they imitated many bands not just nirvana! why would u think that they were trying to be disrespectful?!...jesus that is so stupid.

Those Nirvana fans should know that Anthony Kiedis and Kurt Cobain had a good friendship, and Kiedis was hit very hard by Cobain's death. The Red Hot Chili Peppers were not being disrespectful, they were paying homage to many genre's of music that they respected and were inspired by (they have said this themselves).
The Peppers are also good friends with The Foo Fighters and I can't see Dave Grohl getting pissed off by it.
Quite simply, the furious Nirvana fans should just realise that all intentions were good!

That is really stupid.
The video clip was making a reference to all kinds of amazing artists that probably influenced that Pepper's music. I don't understand why those fans are upset. Like Steve said, Kiedis and Kurt had a very good relationship. Being a Nirvana fan myself, it gave me chills when I saw Anthony dressed like Kurt.
Oh dear god...fans care about such stupid things somtimes and forget to appreciate the music.

What the heck! That was a sweet video, I loved it! That was a sign of respect to Nirvana saying that Kurt may be dead but his music still rocks on. I hate how the Chili Peppers is getting so much static about Dani, they are saying that it is too similar to The Eagles, Hotel California. Bull crap.

peppers doing what they did, i think, is just showing there respect to a band that changed thehistory of teen music.i mean, they rule the rock scene now, and they haven't forgotten the people that have been beside them while they have been gettn to the top, i interprete it simply as a tribute to kurt himself, as frusciante, as well as the other members, were good frends with him. Good n u guys.

it was simply a tribute to kurt cobain, as he was close frends with all the members of the chill peppers. They rule the rock scene, and were just paying a great homeage to a man that changed the industry forever, and now they're at the top, they are just rememebring those whow ere besidethem, when they were getting to the top, those beside them, who felt it was there time to go. Its touching more than insulting, i am proud of RHCP to pay such rspect for such a magnificent man. Good on them i say.

wtf?!! i'm a huge nirvana fan and i don't think it's disrespectful in any way!! and i haven't heard anyone say a bad word abaout that video... i think it's flatering that out of all the others grunge bands they chose nirvana to impersonate. it just shows that they are part of the music history..

RHCP were showin' respect with the canndle and anthony loves kurt cobain and he was a big fan of his work nirvana played pre-band in 1993 on world tour-RED HOT...and i see big mouns and respects in dani california video

There are so many aspects of stadium arcadium that tribute Nirvana, they say words of songs and mention stuff that pertains to Nirvana, they respect Nirvana so much and you can tell in stadium arcadium.

kurt cobain and the bass player from red hot chili peppers were friends infact he played the jazz trumpet for the song smells like teen spirit... they were all heroin addicts so they hung out togehter... so..
