Kinky Friedman or Pee Wee Herman, it doesn't matter. Any of these characters would better serve the needs of Texas than the tool and puppet we have in Austin right now. Perry has been governor since 2000, that's long enough. He's had his chance and has zip to show for it. He wouldn't even be governor now if we had a run-off in 2006. More people voted for someone else than for him. Maybe I missed something in my political science class in college, but shouldn't the winner recieve the majority of the votes not just the most votes. Perry got 39% of the vote, meaning 61% of voters wanted someone else, yet he won. Go figure. But, sadly, that is the state of voter apathy. During the last election in 2006, Texas had a population of 23.5 million with 15 million eligible to vote, yet the selection of governor was decided by a mere 1.7 million people. Sad, so sad.

Kinky is an arrogant, self-promoting, egotistical joker! This beady-eyed, cigar-smoking, racial sluring, ethnocentric celebrity thinks he has real solutions for real problems. Chicago-born Kinky also seems to be totally ignorant of the tragic, racist history of Texas and how Mexicans and Indians were killed and swindled out of their land by ranchers and carpetbaggers. We're fed up with outsiders who think they are better and think that they know better than those with deep roots here!
