Step one - bomb a country that he knows cannot retaliate for reason other than they make a handy "boogie man".

I can see how much you respect our military. Not one word about what you plan to do to support them. Did you even check out the website this is intended to promote?

When I die I'll go to HEAVEN, Viet Nam and Desert Storm VET 1971-1994. Get a clue John, this was nothing more than a campaign ploy. In case YOBAMA doesn't know it he ISN'T going to get the military vote.

This would have been nice while I was in the military as well, but we survived. Knowing you have the support of the people back home is the most important thing they can give.

Why are military families so special? My mom and dad work too. Military people chose their work, they knew the risk of war. They signed up for all the benefits.My dad is a long haul truck driver and is gone a lot. But I didn't see michelle obama mentioning him.

Did you check out the Salon article from 2008 which shows how the Obama campaign was trying to woo the military in Virginia? Here, I'll provide the link for you:

Democrats have already made headway with a very popular Democratic governor. And if the party could somehow flip Virginia from red to blue in the presidential election, well, it would be a major coup.

That's why Michelle Obama is sitting onstage in Norfolk, and that's why the event features almost more media members than military wives -- Obama may be listening to military spouses, but she's being seen by all of Virginia.

"Washington has talked a very good game about family values, but Barack believes that we have to have policies that actually value families, especially our military families," she says, and with that she holds up a slick, square, navy blue brochure.

"Today I've brought along copies of a new brochure that we put together that talks about Barack's plan for supporting military families. See?" She squints at the blue square she's holding aloft, "It's pretty, isn't it? And it's for Virginia, too."

By the way, do check out the GI Bill cuts made in late 2010. Are you a military family, John? Not saying families aren't split politically, but I am saying that things aren't going so well for some of the families, particularly where vets are concerned.
