In the clip below, Seattle Children's Hospital patients and staff are lip-synching the words to the Kelly Clarkson hit "Stronger ." Finley teenager Abi Hamlin opens and closes the clip, and she also shows up again at about the 2:50 mark.
This was a great day for these kids in the video. It was great for us parents to see our kid singing and dancing. There were other kids that didn't feel good that we're not able to join in. There is more of that than singing and dancing going on.
This video is beautiful. I hope and pray that America see the video and will do what they can to help support any type of fund raising to help support children's hospitals everywhere and support their research to find a cure for childhood cancer. These are real kids, too many kids, that have cancer. We need a cure now.
I am a parent of a child of leukemia at children's. The nurses are our anchor. They are there every moment along side us guiding us through some of the darkest and toughest days we experience as parents. When you feel that you have exhausted everything, they lift you up. They'll listen, they'll hold your hand, they hug you, get you tea, whatever it takes. And they always have hope and smiles. Kids and parents need hope and smiles.
