um.....very interesting as im new to this forum to see the responce...

point is im a fairly new convert,and was very exited to have booked tickets in april... was on way to concert in manchester when got the call that it was cancelled ... by the way not like i live 30 mins down the road either.... rebooked for october only to be cancelled again !!

I'm sorry but It's not a case of decide wether your a fan or not...I absolutely love Keith Urban...Which i hope shows in my dissapointment...would We feel such disappointment if we werent fans?
And yes, i KNOW it's a postponemnt...but so was it last time too...People have paid a long time ago for these tickets.....when are they finally gonna get what they paid for?

And to whoever said that Keith allready fulfilled his commitment to the U.k. in April...He didn't!!...he didn't complete the dates.
If the cancellation is due to him taking on too much and needing to rest up, then fine...but say that!...I beleive i's the complete lack of a proper explination that's grating on so many of Us brits.

Keith was really great at Live Earth at Giants Stadium...I think that his tour problems here in Europe have to deal with the lack or wrong promotion...sincerely I was surprised that he had all these gigs here, besides only concentrated in 2 nations, where a few people know who he is....very very different from the enthusiastic welcome he receives in OZ and US...
I had to go to Manchester April, there I noticed that the place he had to play was incredibly small...reminds me of the first U2 gigs when they had another name...and no poster was about his show in the town...
anyway Keith is wrong to treat so his few european fans: better to sell his videos to european music TVs and make only a few promo appearance.

In April he got sick..and in April you didn't have tickets to Manchester Lou...

I am so sorry you ( and every one else) are hit with this disappointment since this time you DID have tickets..
the only reason I have heard so far is "International Commitments" ...

Some award shows begin in October- not sure if that applies or not... then there is the rumor of Keith participating in the writing of the musical score from " Australia" the movie... which would take some time. I agree that if he made the dates- or his management scheduled him to go back to the UK & Europe, they should be honored, first and foremost!

BUT- if the reason is low ticket sales, then its a business decision...

No promotion has been given here anymore than it has in the UK or Europe- announcement was made and I bought my ticket back in February for June 30th...
plus I did pick a venue that was scheduled at the beginning after a rest- in case his vocal chords were an issue-( 2 concerts before mine after a rest)

Keith was hoarse at Live Earth- yet he made it through..thank God... and it rocked!!!! Did you see it?
If he loses his voice and seriously damages his vocal chords- enough to ruin them beyond repair- it means no more shows at all for any of us...
Oh he would still play guitar- but those lyrics he writes and sings so passionately would be gone forever..

Maybe there will be more news soon as to WHY..

Why should the fact that I personally didn't have tickets in April make my point any less valid?
The fact remains though that the gig was still cancelled and that was in fact the one date that had sold out!
I can't really see low ticket sales being an issue either as most of the UK dates had either sold out or had almost done so.
Yes I did see him at Live Earth and thought he was absolutely amazing...I loved the duet with Alicia Keyes...and would love to see it as a single!

And, Keith Urban did play in Germany and England, just as he scheduled and promised,(only cancelling MANCHESTER due to illness), prior to starting his ARENA TOUR in Australia, now in America and then onto Canada ...
SO, in-fact he has only POSTPONED his second leg tour of Germany, England and Ireland, which is being RESCHEDULED in 2008 ...

NOW KEITH URBAN IS JUST NO GOOD ... APPARENTLY!
