Hi, Chicks. You might not see this reply if you don't stop by here again, but I want to point that I came here because of Piper's manipulation of Bethanie's emotions and exploitation of Beth's "temporary" insecurity about Keanu's apparent reaction to her poems and script. Regardless of how we feel about each other's politics or the discomfort we might feel about how far another fan will go in their fascination with Mr. Reeves, that kind of cruel psychological gaming shouldn't be condoned or be allowed to go on without some of us from JTJ and CK coming here to voice our condemnation of Piper's tactics.

That being said, I get the feeling that Piper is the instigator in this agenda against Bethanie. From what I've read and learned over the past few days, it sounds to me like Piper roped in Melsfreefallin *and* the other fan I called the "extreme stalker". I highly doubt Piper was ever a friend of Ms Syme's and am even more certain that Keanu has never shared any of his private thoughts and feelings with her. Piper is the type of PITK (i.e. pretend ITK) who gathers bits of information from others like Bethanie and the woman from the U.K., sharing the data with others to make it sound like she, herself, is the original holder of this knowledge.

I'm giving Melsfreefalllin the benefit of the doubt; more likely than not, this caring mother and fellow Keanu fan simply became friends with the scheming Piper, not realizing she was being caught in Piper's web of lies. As for the "extreme stalker" -- well, from what I've read of her own side of the story, my impression has changed. She sounds more like someone who is "an intuit", who feels things deeply, and has a highly developed psychic sense (not to imply that she feels Keanu's emotions or knows his thoughts) that acts as a conduit between her sleeping state and the terrible global events that re-awaken her own traumatic history. I feel she, too, is an innocent in this story. Piper remains the lone, cunning character, in my eyes.

After reading details about the incident where someone entered Keanu's home and left something for him -- an account from the giftee/fan herself -- I'm far less horrified by the events as I've recently learned them, than I was when I responded to what was a "sound byte" (as they say!) of one side of the story.

Mel, after reading your U.K. friend's personal account of her trip to L.A. to see the film about global warming that Keanu took part in, and the impact that the ARTIVIST film festival's gut-wrenching movies had on someone who had her own painful memories of war, I now believe *one* of your friends in this crazy quarrel is not a stalker. Learning that she was escorted during her visit to Mr. Reeves' house by the workers renovating the home and shown a pool area where her mosaic artwork might be a nice addition, I realize now that she is an artist, with an artist's spirit. And learning that she didn't simply break into Mr. Reeves' house to leave a gift, but rather that a friend of hers handed a plant to the actor the day after she'd had a pleasant conversation with him, helps me see the events in a different light.

That being said, Piper Maru has not been shown in any better light than when she first showed up at an MSN Keanu group, looking for his address. Her deceitful, manipulative nature hasn't changed as far as I can see, in relation to her obsession with Keanu Reeves and/or the late Ms Syme. So I have to say that you have at least one friend whom I would classify as a would-be stalker. Just give her time. She'll make her way to L.A. if it's the last thing she does.

I am formally retracting my description of the U.K. fan/artist as a "criminal who broke into Keanu's house". Clearly the scrap of information that came out earlier about a stalker entering Keanu's house and leaving something for him, gave a different and/or abbreviated view of the events that took place. I don't want to be guilty of wrongly accusing someone of being a dangerous stalker if this isn't the case.

Please, you know full well that none of us has come to Bethanie's defense because you claim to be on some quest to find justice for someone you love. Once again, you try to manipulate our emotions by crying "Boo hoo, me. People are bashing me for protecting a loved one." If you learned to stop falling back on that technique, you might find some respect from those of us offended by your aggressive questioning of Bethanie and your mind games.
