Cool Breeze Cafe

It was Daphne's idea. How about we have this cafe where we can sit and sip coffee & tea? We can EXCHANGE RECIPES for whatever we'd think would go well with the tea & coffee!

I'll get that pumpkin roll recipe out ASAP.

Great idea - the cafe.
Would be soooo nice, if we can exchange recipes from all over the world here.

Now I need to go out & buy some of that pumpkin so I can get the recipe for you. I'll let you know when I have it. It's a pumpkin roll. You make it like a cake in a jelly roll pan, flip it out on a towel dusted with powdered sugar, frost it with a cream cheese frosting, then roooollllll it up. Slice, & serve. It comes out all spiraly. Pretty. Quite yummy with a cup of coffee. Mmmmm.....

Sorry you had to start without me, yesterday my daughter brought nice little visitors from her kindergarten. Oh, the 'n' should be an 'l'. So I had like 10 machines of laundry :(
Rocky, those rolls sound sooo nice, but what is a cream cheese frosting? Is it simply cream cheese? I'll try to send a few recipes in the next days.

Oh Kate, aproppo coffee, if you ever pay a visit to my city, if you want to drink a very good coffee go to the 'Roestbar' or 'Roesterei' which is very near to the city center. I'm sure you never had such a good coffee, it's amazing. Unglaublich was fuer einen Geschmack sie so einer kleinen Bohne entlocken koennen.

Ich glaube ich war das letzte mal vor 10 Jahren in Münster, obwohl's nur 40km sind (außer Krankenhausbesuche).
Aber der Kaffee klingt gut, das wäre mal einen kleinen Sonntagsausflug wert...

This is really nice. I don't post often, in fact I am kind of new. To the posters who have been moving some of the uncomfortable threads down the line, you are sweet. I enjoy reading the things you have to say. I have been going through such a trying time this past year, and reading some of the funnier, friendlier posts have been great. Keep up the "nice" job.

Hello Hello, and the other 'girls', lol. I'm back again, had some struggle in the last days. After we discovered headlice (YUCK!!) on my daughter's head it was my turn two days later. I had to cut off my beautiful, dark brown, long long hair (sniff, sniff...), and as if this was not enough I had a circulatory collapse (the dictionary translated for me..) testerday. But, today I'm fine again. Hope to see you tonight, can't wait, as I see we have a lot of work again. Don't you think?

Daphne,headlice?But i thought they does not exist anymore,i got them all in my hair when i was child,my mother didn`t let me in another excursion again,because everytime i came back home,i came with guests.Don`t worry about your hair,will grow healthy and shiny.

Iris, yes.....lice still exist. As a former teacher, it seems we had problems with this EVERY YEAR! One year, it was all about 1 or 2 children whose parents refused to use the shampoo treatments that were out there. They kept coming back to school before their hair was clear of lice, and then they'd reinfect other kids. It was a MESS!

Iris, thank you so much for your kind words. I can assure you, they still exist. I saw them under the microscope, they look exactly like the ones in the internet. And its easy to get them.
Oh Rocky, I can only imagine. This is the first time one of my kids has them, and I'm as careful as one can be. The doctor told us, she could go to the kindergarten the day after we applied the medicine on her head. Today I discovered new, young ones. So this week she's gonna stay home. For me it's a disaster, as I'm working as a childminder. None of my daycare-children can come... That's life...The only thing I like about this is that now I have a loooot of time to spend with my daughter.
