Hey cyn - the acronym for the expression your name represents is cya. Does the "a" key not work on your crayon?

I love the "take your daughter to work" joke, by the way.

Letterman feels like an ugly date well he IS an ugly date. Its time he gives up and goes to something else. He really is Not funny even though in his eyes he is. He is nasty and rude, and should act like an adult not a second grader.

David Letterman and John McCain actually like each other. I remember when McCain (unofficially) announced his presidential bid on Letterman's show.

Both Letterman and McCain tend to be hot-tempered on occasion, but I have a feeling this will all blow over in time and McCain will be back on his show.

Letterman is crying about McCain? McCain at least had the couth to personally call and let him know! Who was interviewing McCain? Who didn't call Letterman and let him know? And what network does she work for? The network blind-sided Letterman and he is blaming McCain.

He personally called and lied, exactly why he is unfit for the office of President.

This whole thing was an attempt to kill the Biden/Palin debate. Palin disgraces herself every time she has to do something without a script. I don't blame McCain for trying something desperate. If I was stuck trying to convince America that this witless bumpkin was ready to be the President on a moment's notice, I'd be desperate, too.

She had two days to prepare. If McCain is incapable of multi-tasking, why not have Palin debate Obama in his place? If she's ready to be president in a heartbeat, she should be ready to debate a junior senator from Illinois in two days.

Couldn't agree more.....
I recall many years ago (late 70's?) David Letterman was at a speaker's series held at GRCC. At that time GRJC. He stood up there and told us what ice cream parlors are, among other insulting "information" he felt we clueless about.. like we were a bunch of country bumpkins...never liked him after that. He saw himself above the little people, apparently still does. And he's from Indiana...lovely people, but guess he sees himself as above them also..figures he's left them in his dust...

One thing any politician has to learn is to never piss off any TV personality, unless that politician dies. McCain will forever be indebted to Letterman for keeping his name at the forefront of politics. It's an inexpensive way to advertise his brand of politics.

Wait 'till he pulls that kind of a stunt on Jay Leno. Leno will fry him at the stake - McCain, not Letterman. Heck, Jay even got in on the fray by mentioning how McCain insulted Letterman by going next door to have a meeting with a beautiful blond. What dumb staffer pulled that Frau pax [sic].

I'm for McCain but I don't know, if he has those kind of advisers pulling the chains on comedians, what would they do with a foreign dignitary? Now, it is scary to think these kind of situations could exist if he gets elected. Scarier then if the inexperienced Democrat gets elected, the guy who has no clue how government is even run let alone know anything about diplomacy and negotiation with International politicians.

It's a sad day for Americans to be facing these kind of petty issues by dumb politicians and associated advisers/staffers.
