David Letterman needs to let it go and move on.
He is acting like a spoiled child. Why is appearig on his show so much more important than working on the financial stability of our nation? This crisis affects every American and McCain made the wise choice. If you are as tired of Letterman's behaviour as I, please click on the link provided in the story and submit a feedback form to the show. |

Who cares about Letterman?

McCain lied. Do we really want another liar in the oval office? McCain was not needed in Washington so stuff that sillyazz notion. apparently all his done is slow things down. |

United States |
The point is, HE lied to Letterman when he could have been honest, his history is riddled with lies all the way back to Annapolis, so nothing new from McNasty. He stayed in NY for 26 hours after lying to Letterman, saying "I'm rushing to the airport", while he was walking over to Catie's set, then hanging around for Clinton's support at the Clinton event. Liar, liar, liar, not to be trusted, ask Carol if he lied to her for years and years while cheating on her with dozens of women!

actually, McCain is the one who called for MORE debates at the outset of the campaign, challenging Obama to a series of townhalls across the country. Your guy declined. Seems if the financial issue is the 'crisis' that all the elected folks make it out to be, perhaps the two guys who will have to deal with the fallout should have some input. Besides, it gives the Human Gaffe Machine a few days to check his own stories; maybe this time, they'll 1) be his own and 2) be factual. |

My thoughts exactly. |

Letterman is a master showman, much like Oprah in that regard. Letterman does this kind of thing over and over. He will keep it going to make people want to watch his show and then after a few weeks/months he will 'make up' and be BFF with whoever. I couldn't care less.

Letterman needs the spanked *ss he missed out on as a spoiled brat kid. Another aging liberal who fears becoming a has been, but in reality, is a never was. Shalom Davey!

He is turning into a late nite version of keith olberman. Neither one of them are funny and letterman is turning into a liberal jerk. Come to think of it, aren't all liberals jerks?

To put some perspective on this, say you've got a date with a guy (or lady) who calls you up an hour beforehand and says, his mother is dieing and he has to rush out of town to be by her side so he can't take you out. Then you find out that on his way to his dieing mother's side, he had went to a movie/dinner/concert whatever, with the little hottie across the street, spent the night, and then finally left town the next day. You know you're not all that, but you at least feel like you deserve some respectful treatment, some honesty from the cad. Would you make a date with him again? If you would, I'm sorry for you. Maybe he was just a dumb@ss who double booked himself by accident, but if he didn't have the strength of character to handle it with honesty he doesn't need to call me again.
Maybe David is being childish, but we often are when we feel hurt or used. John McCain should have thought about the possible ramifications *before* he treated him the way he did. He could have just called him up and said "I don't think it's appropriate for me to appear on a comedy show when the nation is facing the most devestating financial crisis in decades." Then he wouldn't have given Letterman any material to work with. |

Who cares about a lying sack of cactus. |

Unlike you, we're not on a first name basis with the lady. You no doubt have her phone # and e-mail address. |

Judged: 1 1 1 yes, i'm glad you noticed. every time mccain and / or caribou barbie open their mouths, something disturbing or embarassing comes out. you'd think presidential candidates would know their stuff. instead, we get "the economy is strong" and "what exactly does a vp do all day?" are they really the gop candidates, do you think? seriously? or will the real candidates show up after dumb and dumber embarass themselves trying to debate their superiors in obama and biden? that should make for some good entertainment. "i can see russia from my hose" and angry little man mccain losing his temper, probably throwing his mike or something and storming off. it'll be a circus act, these two! |

Letterman can just keep his usual bunch of Hollywood folks on for his own entertainment. I believe McCain has much more pressing and important things to do other than concern himself with Letterman.
|
One might think - however, it was McCain to chose to announce his candidacy on Letterman's show, and who has appeared on it in the past. Probably not for the pay, and probably not because Letterman needs the boost. Like him or not, Letterman has an impact, and there are probably at least as many Letterman fans in the US as McCain fans. |
