So many thoughts on these subjects, don't hardly know where to start. First, David Letterman has proven time and again that he is turning his show into a partisan joke, all his jokes abusing Republicans and praise for all things Democrat, I don't understand why John McCain would agree to appear on his show in the first place, he had nothing to gain. I do disagree with a comment I saw earlier that Letterman was never funny, I think before he decided to become a Democratic mouthpiece, he did have some good stuff.
Next, to try to blame any one person or group/party for this mess will never work. I can see blame for all, Bush and Clinton, democrats and republicans, greedy businesses and greedy people thinking they are entitled to a home even though they couldn't afford to pay for it.
Lastly to any partisan democrats who try to blame any hold-ups on republican grandstanding, hey idiot you have the majority and the presidents backing if your so sure of your plan, pass it. Or, maybe your just not so sure of your plan and you fear its failure will give the republicans an advantage in the next election cycle.
And finally to quote an old movie all thats going on "I'm mad as hell and don't want to take it anymore"

Letterman really ought to get a life. He knocks McCain as the old guy when he is close in age to him. He knocked Palin"s daughter when he himself has an illegitimate child. Frankly, I don't find Letterman or his writers funny at all. They take something they think is funny & beat it in the ground. With his being dissed by McCain it reminds me of a child throwing a tantrum because he didn't get his way. He needs to get off his high horse, grow up, & just plain deal with the snub!

Hilton and Letterman photo: two of our nation's intellectual giants dis a presidential candidate who has tried to serve his country. WHAT, in heaven's name, have either Dave or Paris done that will make the history books? Their lives are a gigantic waste.

What he did do something, start a wrong war to avenge his geezer of a father and then destroy this country with unregulated mischief on Wall Street probably to enrich Chaney and the rest of the sleezy bunch of robbers running this country! Oh yeah, don't forget "W" had plenty of experience running businesses into the ground, he's already run eight of them into the ground that his family got him out of. Oh yeah, don't pick on him or he'll say you're not a Patriot. I just hope all the dopes that elected that guy are pleased with themselves. Now all you need to vote this senile old geezer into office with the pit bull of a VP and things will get rosey tomorrow right? Now that is funny isn't it?
I agree 100%

I heard that Letterman still has a large and very loyal fan base. Lying to Dave is the same as lying to them. They will remember this on Election Day. McCain could have been truthful about his plans.

Particularly since President Bush tried no fewer than 17 times to get congress to reign in the exponentioal growth of Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac... but you won't read that in this paper.
Hopefully no paper would print such lies.

If that's true, then there are a lot of women that are still ticked off that Oprah refused to have Sarah Palin on her show.

Personally, I think when it comes to election day, voters are going to vote based on who they think is the best Candidate and NOT based on ticked off Letterman or who Oprah wouldn't have on her show.
If anyone votes based on those latter two things, then those people are ignorant and I don't want them voting.

I'm so qualified to to get my nose out of joint and to vent my frustration because someone would not pander to my Ego.

I am so cool and slick I wear spats. I'm continually behind in the ratings so I have to resort to despreation and cheap shots.

I guess if I had talent it would not be a problem. But alas my claim to fame is 10 reasons other people write for me. I stand in front of a teleprompter like my hero Barry. And because I can stand in front of a teleprompter this qualifies me to make any assersions I chose.

No wonder I run second and third in the ratings. If I had a better show, I might have had the interview.

I don't blame Letterman for being ticked. He's an intelligent and well-read man. He can see that McCain's excuse was lame. McCain has admitted he has limited financial expertise and he's not on with any of the Senate committees working on the problem.

So what could he contribute by suspending his campaigning and ditching his commitments to Letterman, the University of Mississippi and media audiences? Photo ops, an illusion of relevance and concern. Instead he gives an impression of being impulsive, unreflecting, inconsiderate, with an overblown opinion of his own importance - in a word, your typical MAVERICK.

So go, Dave, vent you ire. But if you do it too much, we'll get as sick of hearing it as we are of that idiotic "maverick" concept.

I am so ashamed of CBS and the way they have covered the Presidential campaign. David Letterman bashed John McCain....ok fine but to continuously use his position to campaign for O'Bama is unethical. There are many supporters of McCain that watch Letterman. He needs to remember that. He needs to acknowledge that he is where he is because we turn our channel to watch him. It is just as easy to click him off.
I think ABC will lose a lot of patrons because of the circus they have allowed. Yes, they have a right to vote any way they want to, and so do we.

You are so right, the condition of our economy and our nation should not have been first and foremost in his mind. It certainly should have been to show up on the David Letterman show. What was he thinking!

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Sagittarius

You're feeling ultra optimistic today, which is great for summoning up the necessary energy to do what has to be done. But don't let it go to your head and convince you that you're capable of performing miracles. If you aren't behaving in this way you'll have to cope with someone who has a swollen head and thinks they're the cat's whiskers.
