To objectively look at June Allyson, one must be aware of her triumphs, before and after the
1960's. To adequately assess and evaluate June Allyson's very successful career, one must
use critical analysis, and consider both her personal and professional life. And, in assessing
and evaluating June Allyson's very successful career, one needs to look at the key players in
June Allyson's life. Just a few of the key players are mentioned in this article, but one of those
triumphant players is Patricia Marshall. To objectively see June Allyson's career, I start by
researching Patricia Marshall's filmography, and this was only the beginning of many, many
very successful careers, in and out of Hollywood.

Patricia Marshall-Gelbart is, indeed, still very much alive and well (she is best known for her stage productions and, to date, has appeared in two movies). She was accompanied by husband/writer,
and producer, Larry Gelbart--who, along with Patricia, Debbie Reynolds, and Rich Little were the
high points of an eventful and significant evening, recently, at Hollywood Salutes June Allyson.
Also noteworthy, were the appearances of June Allyson's family (daughter, grandson, husband and
son), Gloria DeHaven, Jane Russell, Margaret O'Brien, Marsha Hunt (the later blacklisted actress
who, along with Margaret O'Brien, appeared with June Allyson in "Music for Millions"), Melanie
Griffith, Tab Hunter (who June Allyson adored), and Tippi Hedren (Melanie Griffith's mother and
best known, as the lead actress, in Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds").
I am happy to report that Patricia Marshall-Gelbart was in excellent voice, at Hollywood Salutes
June Allyson (on November 2nd, at the El Portal Theater in North Hollywood, California).

Movie: "The Glenn Miller Story" (1953),
Rated '7 out of 10' at the Internet Movie

"Really, truly, one of the best!" (January 2, 1999)
Author: mommish from Baltimore, MD
"The Glenn Miller Story appears on cable-TV from time to time. It is an historically accurate piece about a beloved man whose music defined an era.
Miller is portrayed as a gracious and kind man -- an officer and a gentleman. We see Jimmy Stewart's affectionate portrayal of this simple man who spent his short musical career searching for a particular sound. The results got the whole world dancing to his new beat: Swing! The music in this movie will surely get you on your feet!
The driving force in Glenn Miller's life was his love for his wife, Helen, amicably played by June Allyson.
A 'must-see', movie classic. Be sure to bring a hanky!"
