Amy Yasbeck needs to go back to work and stop harassing all the doctors who DID THEIR BEST TO SAVE HER HUSBAND'S LIFE that night at the medical center. It's all about how much she has to live off of now that he's gone. Clearly, the GOOD doctors today are being attacked from all angles. How about a "thank you for helping"? How about trying to remember that sometimes life takes an unfortunate turn and these are the cards one is left to deal with. Can she possibly learn to live with the possibility that she may not have known everything about his medical history? These Hollywood people always assume that they can conquer any world with their money. Not this time. Congratulations to the doctors and their attorneys. You won one for the good guys!

I completely agree with you. I am sad that there was a bad outcome. Of course. I can tell you that the doctors must have felt miserable themselves knowing that they a well known actor died under care. However, this lawsuit just smells of greed and revenge. Not the way to treat his memory.

If it were anybody who was not rich and famous, there would not have been a trial and the hospitals would not have settled more than a million. He should have been under medical care but refused to follow up. No wonder our medical expenses are going up...

So the Ritter family received more than $23 million for his death? You wonder why doctors no longer want to practice, or why it costs regular folks like us so much for medical care!!!

I ask myself, why going to court if they already received 23 million dollars from the hospital. They lost in court do they have to return de money to the hospital? Strange to lose in court and still receive so much money. Amerika is weird

Thank heavens there were 9 clear-headed jurors. One star-struck juror felt so sorry for Amy Yasbeck crying on the stand that she tried to convince the others to award that greedy 14-millionaire another 67 million.
We need a cap on most lawsuits. The selfish, greedy lawyers don't want caps because they get a percentage of the award. They don't give a damn about how these unreasonably high awards hurt society by making more and more people unable to afford medical insurance.

Why did the hospital have to pay a dime. What did the hospital do to cause his death. If the doctors were cleared it looks like the hospital would be cleared. If anyone knows why the hospital paid please reply.
if in doubt blame MDs

they paid because they were afraid of having to pay $67 million in the event that they lost the trial.

The greedy widow and her ambulance chasing lawyer should pay for the entire expense of this trial for these two doctors, as well as proper compensation for the mental stress they had to endure throughout the trial. Yes, they are lucky they got a team of smart jurors who made the right decision. But does anyone know how many doctors are damaged for life because of such frivilous law suits? Not to mention the number of patiens who also got impacted indirectly because the doctors had to spend time and money defending themselves from these gold diggers. We got to fix the legal system first if we want to improve our health care!

Daily Horoscope for December 16

Cancer

Today's New Moon in your sixth house reminds you not to neglect your health or general well-being. It's the ideal time to arrange a check-up with your doctor or dentist, or to follow up a medical query. Cancerians love yummy food, and the festive season is hardly the best time to start a diet, but you still might want to monitor your calorie intake.
