Christopher Meloni to Leave SVU After Failed Agreement on New Contract

Law and Order: SVU (Special Victims Unit) has been on the air for 12 seasons, and given that length of time, it's not surprising that some of the stars have decided to leave, such as Mariska Hargitay, who will only appear in the first 13 episodes of the upcoming season, with her character then being promoted and the newly announced departure of Christopher Meloni.
