Don Johnson starred in TV's 'Long Hot Summer'

I managed to buy The Long Hot Summer {Part 1 and Part 2} on DVD through ebay in England. Don Johnson starred along with Jason Robards, Ava Gardner, Judith Ivey {played Don's love interest}, Cybill Shepherd and William Russ. It was/is a terrific movie made for television and although Paul Newman portrayed an excellent Ben Quick in the original film version, Don Johnson's performance was by far the superior performance.

He is so super in Long Hot Summer. I miss him so much on TV. I hope someday he will return.

I am trying to get hold of the dvd long hot summer - as the kiss is the best ever on screen kiss. This was our favourite film as students some 20 years ago - if any one knows how i can get hold of the film as would like to watch again. would like to hear.

Unfortunately its not on general release in any form, DVD or Video. I managed to buy my DVD on ebay, obviously a copy, but an excellent one.

There is currently a copy for sale on ebay UK at the moment. £17.77 plus £4.44 del. It might sound a little expensive, but you get 2 DVD's. If its gone by the time you view ebay, keep checking as I'm sure there will be another up for grabs soon. I had to pay £15 plus del for mine, but it was well worth it.
