Yet it's not ok for people in this public forum to post their racist comments? Just because the comments are "inappropriate" doesn't mean they don't have the right to say them. Yet it's perfectly ok for this no namer to flick the bird on national tv?

Racism isn't OK with me, no. Flipping the bird during the SuperBowl halftime show was pretty cool, though.

No idea what you think the two have to do with one another.

I don't think either are ok and they have nothing in common. I was actually referring to your previous quote about impropriety and 1st amendment rights, using the racist remarks as an example. Would take too long to try to explain to you and even then, no guaranteeing you would understand, so just disregard.

YOU were at the point of making the false and rather offensive claim that she was "flipping the bird to children." She may have done it thoughtlessly, but it's simply dishonest to assume that she was doing it "to children."
Trying to obfuscate your own distortion won't make it go away, any more than her gesture will (unfortunately).
Yes, my CLAIM was offensive, not her flipping off children.... That is most definately hilarious!

It's pretty funny when you simply repeat the same offensive comment and pretend that now it's somehow "true."

There's not one shred of evidence that she intended to "flip off children." By your, uh, "logic," if someone flips off another person in the street and is seen by a child, that means he was "flipping off the child."

Utterly idiotic.

Why bother, when you can just say it and pretend it's true, huh?

Much easier for you.:)

Seems to work for you!

Not sure why you still care, but try to get over it (I.e. "disregard")...that means I'm not going to debate with you, so try to move on

<quoted text>You're quite welcome and while correct in that most children know what flipping the bird means, and do it to each other and what not, does one condone it, or condemn it? I believe one's answer to that determines how I might judge that person, to whatever small degree it may be. It's much like when I saw Wu Tang Clan performing "Dangerous" (or whatever the title is to that particular song) to a bunch of 6 to 10 year olds on Nickelodeon years and years ago. It was INAPPROPRIATE!=-) I believe that the time and place for kids to start being exposed to "inappropriate" behavior starts just a little bit in Jr. High, building up through High School, then reaching an apex in college. It's how I did it, and it is the correct way!
I've worked around young kids for the past 4 years and have yet to see the "bird" gesture. That might change now though...tl

Utterly idiotic.
What's idiotic is you referring to what she "intended" to do as opposed to what she actually did. And by MY logic somebody looking into a CAMERA that is broadcasting images into 10's of millions of homes and flipping it off means they are flipping off every single person watching, children included. And THAT is what is offensive, not my accurate post.

Don't think that person was saying Black people have no talent. Just that person was trying to get attention by doing what she did. You automatically grouped all people with one not the person who commented.

There was a previous post that indicated he meant exactly what I took it for.
