What equipment does Iced Earth use?

I want to know what equipment do they use, like guitars, amps, and distortions.

I know durring the Alive in Athens, the lead played a Jackson Kelly, and John Schaffer played a B.C. Rich, some kind of signature, i cant really find it.
John signed with Gibson in 2007 i think. As for their tone, i'm compleatly lost, i've been looking around too. |

The guitar is an igniter body with a widow headstock I believe.

Schaffer swears by Les Pauls with stock gibson pickups (Don't buy into the IceBucker hype unless you're into his tone on the latest record).
Amp-wise, he uses a custom-built amplifier by Larry - http://www.larry-amplification.de/ - into a Marshall 1960B cab. You can definitely hear the G12-75 sound in his tone. |

I think for a mass production pickup Gibson makes some of the best by far. I do find that they work in Gibson guitars but not so much in other guitars using humbuckers. http://www.officialguitarbuyersguide.com/...
