Chavez says election rival and Romney want to subjugate Venezuela

Jul 21, 2012 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Reuters

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez compared his election rival to "far-right" U.S. presidential hopeful Mitt Romney on Saturday, saying both men wanted to subjugate the country under capitalism and crush his socialist "revolution." South America's top oil exporter will hold its ballot on October 7, a month before the November 6 U.S. election.

Chavez has also had some harsh words for Obama in the past few years.

True, but then the only person that I've heard Chavez say anything "nice" about is Castro.

Here's a paraphrase from Chavez on Obama:

ChaveZ should back obam a they both have the same political views . Vote obama out in 12 or we may be the dame as Venezulea by 2016. Nobody gives a damn about Chavez. Although, gas is $0.10 in his country, maybe obama should take note of that.
Obama does not intend to nationalize the petroleum industry like Chavez has and is content to allow private enterprise exist. Maybe it escaped your notice, but Obamacare would still be administered by private companies under federal regulations and not directly by the government. Obama has definite socialist leanings, but he is far from being as socialistic as Chavez. Obama realizes that free enterprise is still more efficient and productive than government ownership of all commerce. In spite of my post, I do not plan to vote for Obama or Romney either as both of them are jokers.

Getting back to the intent of this thread, I seriously doubt that Romney wants to subjugate Venezuela, but the more he shoots his mouth off, the more ammunition he gives to Chavez as he tries to stay in power in Venezuela. Obama has wisely stayed more low key in his criticisms and given Chavez the opportunity to make headlines which has resulted in Chavez having fewer opportunities to try and trash the USA. On this matter I feel that Obama has the wiser approach of the two candidates for president.

I am not saying we should ignore Chavez, but we should avoid overdoing it with the rhetoric and give Chavez fewer excuses further his own propaganda.

<quoted text> Pleas don;t dilude yourself into thinking obama isn't a true socialist The only thing tthat has kept him somwhat in check is the posiblility of a second term . AS for obamacare, wait and watch if it is administeres and or regulated by the government is will wventually fall under the same system medicare does. The government will come our with guidleines each yr regarding what provceedures and medications are covered. The difference being , that obama will award vendor contracts to his supporters . Much like the green energy nonsense that has been around for a century and proven to be not feasible. How many volts heve you seen on the road? Goverment bailourt and takeover of the car companies has done wonders for whom? Not the consumer ,that is for sure. Gm has opened factories in overseas markest Chrysler has not paid back a cent of it's bailout that I am aware of , Yet both are reporting " historic" profits . The day I pay sticker price for a car that the govenment has bailed out will never happen
I do not like either candidate ,but would rather take my chaces with Romney .obama has been proven to be a failure A Failure this country cannot afford to give a second term to
A true sand complete socialist does not allow any private enterprise whatsoever. Political Science 101 and Obama doesn't come close to that and there is no credible evidence that he ever would nationalize all enterprise. Even Chavez is less than an absolute socialist and he is far more socialistic than Obama.

Noriega, considered "outstanding" at the SOA, is on the CIA payroll (to the tune of up to $100,000 a year) from the mid-60s to the mid-80s.
His drug trafficking, though known, is no obstacle to his chumminess with George Bush (CIA director and "Vice" President) during the 70s and early 80s.
His true crime is being an independent leader of Panama, just before the US is obliged to return the stolen Panama Canal Zone on January 1st, 1990.
So after publicly demonizing his longtime friend and employee, Bush slaughters thousands of Panamanians and installs a puppet government, in the nick of time, on December 20th, 1989.
