You're forgetting Viggo's latest release, The Road, which will be out on DVD next month. My favorite movie of this year....it has stayed with me since I saw it 4 months ago. Can't believe it was ignored at Oscar time...perhaps the subject matter, but then how would you explain the nods to Precious?Haunting, sad, depressing, gruesome in spots, but it hit so many themes which would draw a viewer in....

This definitely was a film that got lost in the distribution process. Viggo went everywhere to promote it--Q & A's at every screening, across several continents. He was incredible in this pulverizing film. The physical and emotional demands were so extreme. He even made a personal call to Coke to request that they permit the use of the can of Coke in the movie--which they were refusing to do until he personally convinced them. He is that committed and dedicated. He chooses films for the stories that they tell--even if they are obscure and particularly, it seems, if they are not huge blockbusters. He is partial to independent and thought-provoking films. Viggo could easily do mainstream blockbusters--he is sought out like crazy--but he has exquisite integrity to his craft and chooses higher ground. He is clearly not in the biz for money.
