Doug - I think you have a case of a broken heart. When things go wrong it is because of women - when things go right it because of women. When was the last time you were truly happy? When was the last time you cried? When was the last time you smiled so hard it hurt? Who's face do you picture before you fall asleep at night? The right woman will heal your heart, and when your heart is healed you can do anything. She is out there you just need to find her and if you already have then you need to keep her. God bless you and may you find peace in your life.

Doug, say yes to Jesus. He desires for you to know Him. He can heal all hurts and make you whole. He can give you joy for your mourning.

Doug I really feel sorry you man... You had it all big guy, but you allowed drugs and alcohol to take it all away from you. How sad. Hope you get it together one day my friend. And yes, I am still of your music. It's "you" that I just will never understand. I tried for years to get into the music business but never made it. Here you are, have it all...but can't that alcohol down. Take care friend and best of luck to you.

Its sad...and yes I was a fan as well. But all of you may as well face it, he's doubtless not coming back to the music business. I would love to see it, but I doubt it. I worked with a band in Houston at a club called Mo's Place...and he came "stumbling" in there one night. It was sad. Doug has to "want to help HIMSELF" before anyone else will be able to help him. God Bless You Doug.

The problem with today's country music is that it has gone too pop. If it's too country, promoters won't push it so stations won't play it, etc. Doug was too country for the industry along with many other singers whose music careers were short lived. Country has been invaded by pop and rock producers who haved changed the way country music is written and played. Doug is a throwback to the honky tonk days of country music. He has the Moe Bandy, Joe Stampley, Gene Watson style. I really like his music. It's sad that his mental state deteriated so quickly.

Wild Cuz wrote: First, I am the original Wild Cuz. Accept no imitations. Doug is a great guy with loads of talent. Problem numero uno was associating with the biggest loser of them all, Larry Seligmann. He'll claim he did all these great things for Doug. Don't believe it! HAHAHAHA that is the dumbest thing i have ever heard in my entire life, i am friend of both men, and they are childhood friends, the bottom line is larry seligmann still talks to doug and supports him when ever possible, Larry is an out standing business man who was the blockbuster developer of the year numerous times before leaving the company and going on to bigger and better things, i would really like to know why you feel this way, but maybe doug's song puts it best some one should just fly you to the moon and not bring u back

Hey Doug, We're going to be down at my mom's for a few days starting nest week. Thought maybe we all could get together again. My Mom said she's been watching to see if you've been home to invite you over again for dinner. Bill and I were at a bar tonight and I couldn't believe it when I saw they had your songs on karaoke I sang one of them!
