Over 30 of his neighbors signed a petition to have him evicted, alleging he was a threat to children. Unfortunately, John is in a protected class and his neighbors are stuck living next to a ticking time bomb (my opinion).

John also loves to accuse his critics (people he doesn't know except for their posting names which he hijacks) of using meth, being on welfare, being unemployed and doing criminal acts of which there is no evidence. What's the term for someone who projects all his failings on to someone else?

It was local Judge John Gallagher who sentenced Ed Frey to six months in jail for a first offense. At trial, Sheriff's testified that Frey was "asleep" and "was difficult to awaken." And FREY is charged with "disorderly conduct?" THIS is the state of our justice system, where we regularly sentence homeless people to jail and to prison for sleeping at night, for using a blanket, and for so-called "crimes" like sleeping. I have so much respect for the courageous and righteous indignation that fuels Ed Frey's campaign for human rights. Let's throw Judge Paul Marigonda into the light too. HE said that 6 months in jail for sleeping is "not unreasonable" since Ed refused community service. 400 HOURS of community service!!!( a sleeping ban ticket would only result in 8 hours of community service maximum). A protest is planned on the eve of Ed's jailing.

What really burns me is that the criminal justice lets violent career criminals who reside and have resided at the Mission Gardens Apartments off with a slap on the hand — criminals who are imminent threats to their neighbors and caused the murder of nineteen year old surfer Carl Reimer — while so called *sleep* criminals are given draconian sentences.

What does that say about our local justice system? These judges coddle violent career criminals while throwing the book at Ed Frey and Gary Johnson for *sleeping*. Santa Cruz's judicial system is completely whack! There is no justice in this so called justice system.

More BS from BJ. Hey BJ... No one has been sentenced to jail or prison for the simple act of sleeping. You conveniently alter and distort the facts and conditions to suit your delusional and fantasy-like agenda. Every time Frey, the homeless, and anyone else breaks the law by reason of disorderly conduct or illegal camping, they deserve to be prosecuted and sentenced. Frey knew the ramifications of his actions. He gambled and lost. So now, it's time to pay the piper. Oh, and don't worry, your time is coming!

Frey DID, however, have the courage to support his advocacy with direct action, something BJ and the Kahn-job NEVER do. After all, they're ADVOCATES!
