Hello, Nparks!!!!

I saw this movie, "Babel", and I can tell you with
all honesty that this movie is a MASTERPIECE.

The cinematography was so realistic that you feel that you are there. The scenes were so realistic.

The director was unbelievably wonderful.

The acting was Oscar worthy.

The plot was clear and rewarding. You never take your eyes off the film for a moment. The story
line never drags for a minute.

The camera just takes you along to places that
leave you in wonder. You hear yourself saying, "Oh,
my. Oh!!!! MY!! And at times you feel the tears coming down your cheeks. And at times your heart is racing from the prickly tension, until you wiggle
your legs, and you ball up you fists, and you pray
Oh, please....no!

I won't spoil the movie by saying too much.

It is worth every cent.

It is worth every moment of your time.

I plan to see it again, this coming weekend.

It is superlative.

Today is November 18, 2006.

I am going to gas up the car and go see Babel
for the second time.

The first time that I see a great movie, I am just
struck dumb by the terrific story, plot, acting,
scenery, and I am awe struck.

I like to go back for a second look, if the movie
is this good, and study the actors.

I like to try to see what meanings I might have
missed.

I ask myself what was behind things.

What is behind the big picture.

I also want to see Brad and Kate again.

They are so good in this movie that they make
acting look effortless.

The movie Babel is not about the Tower of Babel.

This movie is not a religous movie.

This movie is not a war movie.

This movie is not about "back in the old days."

This movie is not about Brad running around shooting people.

This movie is not a spy movie.

Take my advice and see it though, and you will
end up like me: Telling your friends to see it!!!

Over-Thinking.

Was the movie about loses?
It seems that sometimes, when you are dwelling on
losing your husband, you lose something else that you never even considered...the whole marriage.

When, after losing your husband,
you fear losing your career and image,
and end of maybe losing your current boyfriend.

In the movie Babel,
it seems that there are loses, near loses, and
thankfulness at losing that which is very
important to you, when losing came so close.

About the movie, "Babel"....

How many times have I asked myself this question:

Why are people in Mexico risking everything, even their very lives, to cross the border into USA?

I give it thought for a moment, and then I am afraid that if I find out why, my heart will break.

In the movie "Babel", I began to think that I really must find out more about the reasons that America and Mexico can not sit down and find a way
to work together so that our countries can find a way bring happiness and prosperity to Mexicans on both sides of the border.

Who would not love to visit and perhaps work and vacation and even retire in Mexico, if things became peaceful. I think "Remember the Alamo" has run out of steam.

Watching the movie "Babel" some parts of it made me
ask the question:

After you have been deported, and sent back to Mexico, what happens. Do you get another chance to come back? or is that it.

While watching the movie "Babel" I realized that
I have a disgusting habit that I am ashamed to admit, but I will share it, so that I may improve myself:

When I am around deaf people, I want to hurry and
get away from them, because I am afraid that I might witness them get injured in some way: like
being struck by a car, because they can not hear the horn blow...or not hearing someone yell, "Watch out!" When I am around deaf people,
I find myself worrying about their well being, and blaming myself if anything should happen to them.

I am just on edge the whole time that they are around....and I just sit and double dare anyone to mess with them or tease them in any way. I would become like a wild cat in their defense.

And yet, I have not attempted to take a class in sign language, and I just hate myself for not doing so.

In the movie called "Babel," At first I was thinking that these mountain people are poor, real poor. And then I realized that these are the ones with goats and land. What about the ones that do not have goats or land?

I wondered if they realized that they were poor.
I wondered how they kept from freezing. How did they keep their bellies full. I wondered why they stayed. I wondered where they would go, if they decided to leave.

And the children....oh, my.

Bring some tissues and a brain and you'll love it.

Communication?

I enjoyed watching La Fea Mas Bella again lastnight
at 8:00 p.m.
It was unbelievably good!
I speak very poor Spanish, but I just loved last
nights perfomance.
I had no idea what the beauty said to Thomas after
the love making, but he went to his car to write
out a large check, but could not go through with
going back inside to give it to her.(I am laughing right now, as I think of it.) It was just
splendid!!! I can not wait until Monday, to see it
again.

I taped it, so that I can go over the words in my
Spanish dictionary!!!

So far I like it, wheither I comprehend the words
or not.

I wonder what the father was saying to the daughter at the dinner table. He was upset.
What matters is that she calmed him, and re-assured
him.

I love Kate Blanchett, more than Nicole Kidman!! hahahah I think, Kate is a great actress! I like her coz she's so simple and classy too!!
