Marvel has better characters than DC. I just can't get into DC characters. Maybe they need to update them and loose the capes.

That's just the way many people talk, and it's not Batman himself doing the cussing. This particular Batman comic book series is not written for kids, and neither is Frank Miller's Batman: The Dark Knight Returns which also has characters cussing in it.
