Focus on the Family to Cut More Jobs - Lez Get Real

Full story: lezgetreal.com

The Conservative Christian Ministry, Focus on the Family , is expected to announce further reductions in its 935-person staff and plans to inform 13 more employees they will be out of a job during a staff meeting to be held at its Colorado Springs headquarters this afternoon. Last year Focus on the Family spent $727,250 on the campaign to ban gay marriage in California and the group has also committed $31,000 in Maine to overturn a same-sex marriage law that was recently passed in that state

I know that common sense is not synonymous with religion, but I must as this:

If Focus on the Family is truly doing God's work and doing God's will, then wouldn't common sense state that God would "bless" them with the resources they need to continue this work?

Any religiously inclined care to explain this?

If only they all would go that way. Why can't they just leave us alone? Nooooooooooo, they gotta go out of their way to castigate us all they can, under some sanctimonious veneer of piousness....makes me want to puke. Well, let's hope the hate mongers are falling out of favor with most people.

I can explain it:
God is not real...
snakes don't talk.
men do not walk on water
and no REAL god would allow such hate.

that was simple.

the Christian nutbags are now as hated as the good old Fred Phelps cult...

religion is all but rendered non-essential fraudulent, and useless...

except for the die-hard un-educated
mindless dolts who cannot think for themselves.

Unfortunately they number in the upper hundred thousands to the low millions in number. I just hope as the 'houses of h8' fall, the "flocks" (read: sheeple), find out how to think for themselves.

Since I live here in the Springs, I felt obligated to email FotF; here's what I said...

So you're laying off more people. Helping to drag down the economy in Colorado Springs because you couldn't keep your nose out of California and Maine. When are you going to learn that we're all equal and that you have no right to deny us what you have, claiming that it goes against your God? I thought the bible preached that all are equal in God's eyes... Perhaps you should "focus" on your own family, here, and keep in mind that old saying of "do unto others..."

Ah, a commenter after my own heart... I only *wish* I could still be around when FotF, New Life, LDS and all the others who try to control via Fear of God go under.

There are a lot of hungry people in the world who don't give a shit whether or not gay people can get married, they just want to get a bite to eat at night.

Why can't we send that money to them?

Christians have lost sight of true faith.

Religion is like holding on for dear life to a heavy boulder in the middle of a raging river.

Faith...is learning how to swim.

these religious dolts will never let go of the boulder that burdens them so...
and will never know what true FAITH is.
religion is their boulder. they hang on to it believing it is saving their lives. Unfortunately until they let go, they will never experience the wonderful world of many different people that inhabit it.
Sad....isn't it?

LOL.I aim to please...hehehe

here is my definition of Christianity as taken right out of the bible:

Christianity:
The belief that some invisible Jewish guy in space will allow you to live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him that you accept him as your master so he can remove an evil spirit from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magic tree....

but two guys loving each other would be too hard to believe...wow...LOL

How do they determine who gets laid off first? By lack of seniority first or by obviousness of closetedness first?

Praiz!

(That's a well funded, sick, effective organization, and 13 brainwashed cult members out of near 1000 employees shows real resilience in this economy. Religio-fascists are formidable...and the males among them give good head, too, I have heard....)

Focus on the family

Hey, it is a business. Hate in the name of God sells.

As we discovered on 9/11

As we discovered during WWII, which came about because the mother christian church gave the world the hatred of Jesus own people the Jews.
Which the Catholic hitler in a heavily Catholic country, leveraged into power.

And that resulted in the abortion of 50 million REAL PEOPLE.

While the then pope did nothing of significance to save the Jews. Where were his moral values then? Could he have appealed to germans and others to protect the Jews, and rebel against hitler?

Could he have taken a stand against hitler at the risk of his own life. Given that according to the Church, the Pope can do no wrong, and would surely sit next to Jesus and God in the next life.

Or is this a real example of two things.

1. when you get down to it, even the Pope really doesn't believe, when it is his life on the line.

2. Keeping the church in the good graces of the nazis was more important then the lives of the Jews, and others. Totaling 50 million people.

and now the church has a new group to hate in the name of God. Gay people.

Can you hear the construction going on when you put your ear to the ground?

That is where God is enlarging his re-education camp.

The gay community should be very aggressive in legally pushing for gay rights 24/7 until these religious groups run out of money. And they will. "Their" "God" is NOT on their side as they think they do have, but no -- only money, fear, and ignorance is theirs. Once gay marriage is legal at the federal level, these groups will look back and think, wow, we wasted all this money and we look like hate-mongering fools.

Money they could have spent on the poor and doing the real work of what Jesus was all about. But will they get the message that Jesus/God was not on their side or will they think they failed Jesus and resort to some other behavior to reverse gay rights? Maybe eventually they will be like the first pilgrims or first Mormons and leave the country and start a new colony where they can live free from the existence of gays? Like on Mars? Or in the mountainsof Utah LOL.
