This show was TAPED ?? They couldn't of cut this statement out?? Not a really good set up for the day before inauguration. Was it that important for the ratings?? Did all the Biden & Obama people view this before they allowed it to air? Obviously not if Biden's spokesman was backpedaling later in the day. Well this proves that Biden is a dolt. He pulls a "Yes dear" and takes the job of Vice President instead of Secretary of State because she wants more family time. This is a man who was elected because of his vast foreign policy experience and is a heart-beat away from the Presidency.

According to the wife, Biden can play with Obama as long as he can be home before the street lights come on and has all the holidays and vacations free.

The Obama freak show is really beginning to show its false facade. Reminds me of a movie called "Something Evil This Way Comes".

So Biden had a "choice" between Sec of State and VP......did Blagoevich play "broker" for this "deal"?

Anyone with any historical perspective knows that there's lots of backroom dealing and implied promises made and broken in all of these appointments. And there's nothing wrong with that. It's just a real life version of Survivor.

For a more relevant example, read the 20 page addendum/appendix to "Making of a President - 1960" describing the machinations and drama behind the scenes between JFK, RFK, and LBJ at the Democrat convention.

If Obama suggested to Biden that he could have either VP or SOS, I wouldn't be surprised if he floated the same to Hillary, with the final choice up to him. Often, the offers are gambits you hope the person won't accept - and in fact in Hillary's case, i think there was some coyness about if an offer for SOS would be accepted if made, or if she would stay in the senate and grow more power and political capital there.
