Very proud of Brett and his accomplishments!!

Very touching and moving song. I enjoyed watching the video, am looking forward to hearing more of his music.

I think that it is absolutely exciting! He is such a good person and had a dream and is following that dream. Great example of one who sets goals and never gives up. I get the chills thinking about it and my eyes fill with tears! Absolutely tremendous!

Brett's a great kid and I am proud to say I saw him perform here in Paris when he was just starting out. I hope he remembers where he came from and doesn't go off the deep end like some of those celebrity types!

Great song! I worked in a shoe factory in Paris for several years long ago. Paris is a good small town.

To "Proud" in Mattoon, Illinois....I worked at R.R. Donnelley in Matton for 26 years....retired to Arizona!

Hey did you see that Brett's song was on the top 100 chart-- and he's going to be in the Grand Ole Opry. Awesome news. I bet Grandpa Shirley is proud of him!

Dumb Bass: Why am I in Arizona? Cause the temp right now is 85 degrees! And I am retired and am enjoying life to the fullest! I lived in Illinois most of my life and enjoyed it, but time for a change and it is sooooooooo nice out here! Close to Vegas and Reno and San Diego and other great places!

I went to school in Kansas, Illinois and worked in Paris and Danville and Mattoon....and lived in Charleston, Illinois for years....the area is great for small town living. Quite a change to get into the greater Phoenix area, but love it too! But back to the topic....love the song and hope to see an album soon from Brett! Video is great too...

Im not knockin Brett, its awesome that someone from Paris is doing what they love but i keep reading ppl saying CMT called him the next big thing as if he was the only artist.

You are totally wrong about this. I have the video DVR'd and it does say CMT Next Big Thing Brett Eldredge all on the screen right before it plays the video. I'm setting here looking at it right now, come on over and will watch it together.

I caught it that weekend and it says CMT's big new music weekend and then goes to CMT's next big thing Brett Eldredge. I'm very happy for this young man, have known him since he was a kid.

Good enough for me Larry. BTW-- my previous post was intended to convey the idea that Paris will never be good enough for the snobs. What I was trying to say was that no matter what people here do, they are always going to be looked down on.

I've lived a lot of places myself. Paris is definitely not the best by a long shot, but it is not the worst, either.

And I'm fully in agreement with your comments on the original topic. Brett is a good kid and it's great to see him make it big.
