Dwight Yoakam's role in Three Burials

What a great role for Dwight.

Why is he portrayed in such a negative way sexually though???

He is gay.

He is too strange for words.

I have loved Dwight Yoakam for twenty years.

Love this movie, love Tommy Lee, and thought Yoakam was a hoot. That red sunburnt face and white body with the strategically placed little pillow is classic. After pulling myself up off the floor all I could think was 'Either the ole boy is dropping a behavior or he's a right confident man.'
Think you would have to live small and very remote somewhere to appreciate the behaviors.

I would have to say he's "a right confident man" after seeing seeing pictures of the ladies he dates.

Liked the movie, would like to see a love scene with Dwight not wearing those long white socks. I know he is sort of thin but I would like to see him in some more meaty roles as an actor. I think he has potenial.

As an actor, Dwight is growing...The Three Burials was an interesting character change for him....He is a great "sleazy" guy for film.....yet his talent for the film noir shines through. Don'tcha get it? He plays "the guy".....any guy, but nevertheless "the guy"....he doesn't try to be anything different....I like cross-over singers and actors...and vise-sersa...reality of the character gets to shine though. Yoakam is a brilliant man and his intelligence is evident in his interviews and concerts.....gather round little one and remember Heminway was considered so-so in the beginning and now look how we percieve ....personally I liken Mr. Yoaman to Kurt Vonnagut....pulls no punches and makes you want to know him in his terms.....I've said it before....sexy guy. Hey...he made it frin the hills of Ky. to the Hills of Beverly....any of you tried to make make that trip?

Don't think he will ever top is role in Sling Blade. He was super. I think he is a good actor
