I love the old Guns n' Roses before Axl lost his mind that is and put that song by Charles Manson on the Cover Song Albums...The Spaghetti Incident. The New GNR...is a joke.

Vhn...where are you hiding. I haven't seen you around lately. I miss you and your comments. I hope to see you soon. We are in London for now while we figure out if we will live here or move to Canada. But that won't be for at least 1 year. I loved Albania so much and I already miss it...especially my new family. But we will go again in a few months.

Hi canadagirl86,
I intended to not post again as quite a few of the posters were irritating me. Come to think of it this is a perfect place to run an experiment with such people.
Thank you for your kind words! I also missed you! Honourable humans are rare on this planet!
I am very happy all this worked out perfectly for you. You were so loyal, patient, and caring with your man! It’s a beautiful story :)
I am glad you liked Albania and your new family. Being in Europe, it isn’t that hard or expensive to go there.

Hi Vhn
It is really nice to see you in here again. I agree some posters are very irritating. But unhappy people want a reaction from their comments. Fortunately there are some posters that actually do want to help people such as myself. I was very lucky that you responded so quickly to my questions and were truly helpful. As you might remember I was freaking out and thought there was no hope for my relationship. LOL...
My room mates absolutely adore him and want him to invite some of his Albanian friends to come and visit. They love how respectful, passionate and loving he is. It bothers me so much the things some of the posters say in here about Albanians. There are good and bad in every country and culture. His family truly accepted me. When we would go into Kukes and someone would hear my accent they would come over and pretty soon there would be a small gathering. I found Albanian people to be very warm and generous. The landscape is very beautiful for the most part.
I am trying to learn the Albanian language with an online course and the help of my fiance. It is a difficult language to learn; however, I am enjoying learning it. My fiance and I now speak a combination of English and Albanian. We rarely have to use the translator now. His family learned some English as well.
A year ago I never dreamed my life would be this wonderful. Anyways I have said too much in here I am sure...lol. I tend to talk a lot when I am very happy. I still plan to come in here and see what others are saying and I hope I will see you in here again. I was going to start a thread asking where you have been...but knowing this forum there would be a few mean comments. Please take care of yourself and I will talk with you again.

It is really nice to see humans madly in love :)
It's also very nice to hear of kind Albanians like your fiance.
You are right there are agreeable and disagreeable humans in every nationality. Topix seems to gather mostly the latter. I would not longer care much if the humans at topix were insolent. About 2.5-1.5 years ago such such insults would virtually have no effect on me. That was because at the time I was more rational and kept emotions to a minimum. I may try it again for a while, hence the experiment. It helps clear the mind and face the ultimate truths of the universe :) Insults would be welcome in order to determine how successful I was.

Sorry for scaring you with weird ideas.
Don't worry about writing a lot. If I may ask, what will you do about your education? The only reason I bring it up is because you may have to do stuff in order to be accepted into the program of your choice.

For the most part I do not let people get under my skin. When you have gone through a traumatic experience like I had with my ex....these things just don't matter that much. However, I can at times become upset if someone is attacking someone I love or care about.

Yes Vhn, we love each other madly...lol. We don't say we are in love with each other...because then you can be out of love with each other. So we say we love...lol.

You have never scared me with weird ideas...curious what you think was a weird idea...

As far as my education I have completed 2 years in London and have 2 more to go...with the 4th years basically is a working school term. I did not go back this fall because of my father's health. So I have taken 1 year off and will go back next fall. This year I am working. I was fortunate to get a job at one of my friends law firms as a receptionist. It is a perfect job as I can continue to work a few hours here and there when I go back to school. I start on Monday and so I guess my holiday comes to an end in a few days. We have already gotten my fiance registered for an English class which he has already started. Luckily it is a class that you do at your own pace.

So we have a few days left of sight seeing and going to the disco before we return to the real world.

I hope things are going well for you. Do you go to school or do you work? Take care and talk to you soon :)

When beings we care about are mistreated we should get upset even if it was tolerable for us.

When I told people two years ago that I wished to suppress emotions and become rational quite a few of them got scared. Anyway...

With regards to education, you may wish to consider the chances of finding a job with your program now that you haven't started yet. I don't know how it is there but people in the senior years here are panicking! Even the people with Masters and PhDs. They seem to keep doing more school and seem to think that finding a job in their field is hopeless. They seem beaten, even the best of them.
I am sorry to hear of health issues with your father.

Congratulations on the job!

Things are ok with me. I am in school... again. I am 5th year and will get all the courses I need by December but will continue for three months after that to get my second major. I expected to work as a teaching assistant at university as I had done the previous two years but this year the number of graduate students applying for the job increased significantly so I didn't get in. Not any serious inconvenience though, my parents paid for all my needs and let me waste the money I earned anyway. Real nice of them :)
Enjoy your time off :)

I have already completed 2 years of my degree and I am sad that I could not attend this year; however, family does come first. My father had cancer. Both of my sisters are managers at the companies they work for and also have children. It was the logical solution for me to go home and take care of my father during this time. His follow up blood work last month gave us the news we had been praying and hoping for. His levels are now normal and now has to get a shot every 3 months for the next 2 years.

I have completed 2 years of my degree and I do not foresee any problems finding a career in my field. That said, it is uncertain as I don't know where we will be living in the next few years. My dream is to become a child advocate and I will pursue this until I am.

I am sorry to hear that you did not get a Teaching Assistant position. I am sure you would have been a wonderful TA. Good luck with the rest of your courses. Your parents, family and friends must be so proud of you attaining 2 degrees. My sister has 2 degrees as well...in science. She graduated with top honors as I am sure I will as well...lol. We are very competitive with ourselves and must have excellent grades...anything less than an A is not good enough.

You are very fortunate to have parents that can afford to pay for your education. In the last couple of years some of my friends have had to put their schooling on hold and get jobs to pay for it themselves.

Nice chatting with you again.:)

I am rally glad your father is well. Two of my aunts had cancer in the past 3 years. Luckily they are both better.

Only As is really impressive! That competition keeps you going. It's a good thing. I have noticed that I do much better on courses where my self-esteem if a function of my performance in the course :)

Your career goal is very respectable.

I was an ok TA. I gave the highest average I was allowed to give. At some point the average I was giving was 17% higher than the overall average but they put a stop to that the next year :( Whenever my students asked for private assistance I offered it to them free of charge and accepted late work every time they asked for it. I kinda loved my students :) I felt like a parent :)
I am close friends with one of my students now. I almost got him to go vegetarian! I was so close! I haven't given up though. We are supposed to go to a restaurant with veg*n food tomorrow.

Actually my parents paid for my education only when they had to. the rest was student loans and work. They would rather pay the mortgage. I don't blame them. They pay for food, shelter, clothing, electronics and such.

I also enjoy chatting with you :)

We keep meeting like this I think we will have to open our own thread...LOL!!

It is very good that you care about your students and want them to do well. Also very commendable that you are so dedicated to them and offer free tutoring. Just make sure you do not get burnt out by the requests. You have a big heart.

I was fortunate I guess in a way that my ex-husband paid for the first 2 years of university for me. He offered to pay for the rest but I have refused. I wanted nothing from him except for my personal items and my divorce. Some people say I am very stupid for not getting a settlement. But they do not know my life with him and it is not their decision. So I will work to continue my education and I am happy to do this. There is nothing wrong with your parents wanting to pay their mortgage and you are fortunate that your parents do help as much as they do. My one sister and her husband did all their university through student loans and had a pretty big debt when they were done. But they invested in themselves and now she is a top manager at her company and has an excellent salary and benefits. My brother-in-law does very well as a Engineer and has recently become an Electrician which his company paid for. So now he is an Electrical Engineer and his salary and benefits are very good as well.

The field I have chosen to go into does not make great salaries until many years down the road. But I have not chosen this path because of the money I will make. I do this because this is what is in my heart.

Anyways I better go now as I have spent quite a bit of time writing my comments. 1 more day of leisure and then I have to be part of the grown-ups world. hahahaha

Wow you surprise me time and again. Most women would jump at the opportunity to get a big settlement. You put honour above everything don't you :) I think you've got a pretty big heart too. What is with you Canadians :)

Yep we seem to have hijacked this thread
Good luck :)

great bands to be seen as they are still alive are metallica and guns although even them you will not see them as you know them cause our favorite music is dead my friends.
I love Def Leppard an Whitesnake! I seen them both live back in the 1980's!I seen the Hystria tour! I seen alot of rock groups in the 80's! And if you don't like them, then get off the website! You sound more like a Justin Beiber fan!

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Capricorn

You feel like overindulging yourself in some way today, and why not? Throw caution to the wind and eat your way through a big bar of chocolate, or have a retail therapy session that leaves you reeling from the amount of money you've spent. There's a definite chance you could get carried away and tell a whopper of a story that has little resemblance to what really happened. What on earth has got into you?
