Why doesn't the RNC simply work on preventing their underage children from having babies by, you know, educating them about sex and providing contraception.

That would be much more useful.

Wow, the right-wingers really hate free speech - and just a comedian at that...

Remember this the next time some dopey students are shouting at someone speaking on campus.

The RNC should focus less on a light night comedian and focus more on wing-nut ex-sportcasters like Keith Olberman...

Letterman is a dickhead, choosing to pick on a teenager

I want watch him and although I voted for Obama I really think he needs to tell Letterman to shut his piehole

Obama has really let me down so far. I'm not too happy with the Democrats at this piont and the left media

Any big shot politician, news reporter, or tv show host can say anything disrespectful as long as it is about Republicans or Christians and get away with it. I remember what happened to Don Imus. He was fired just for saying nappy headed black girls as he was trying to congratulate them. Letterman should get the axe. His comments and joke was in the worst of taste and belong in the sewer. He implied that Palin's daughter, age 14 would have sex with a baseball player. His "joke" was offensive to a lot of parents, not just to Palin. Letterman should have plenty of explaining to do and being a comedian is no excuse for his conduct.

I can't believe he's still got that show. NBC has already switched to the younger talent in that time slot, ABC too. Old Dave is a relic.

Left wingers have a problem with voluntary actions, if people choose not to listen to him?

A Boycott is voluntary, Letterman still speaks, I don't see where any infringements here on the first amendment.

Perhaps you should explain how the first amendment is being violated.

The GOP will start with Letterman and move on down to your street until no one will disagree with the Taliban, er, RNC.

Yep, that's pretty funny. Leftists are upset at a call for people to voluntarily stop watching a show...and meanwhile wish to shut up and ban any media that they don't agree with by terming it "hate speech". Always the double standard with these people...:)

His lame attempt at an apology is a disgusting attempt to save his career! Good for the RNC! Why would Imus be fired and Letterman be allowed to brush this off as a mistake made by writers with no consequences? What is good for the goose is good for the gander. Do you remember the huge fuss Hillary Clinton made during the campaign when someone said something about Chelsea being "pimped out" for campaiging for her mother?

Bristol Palin got knocked up. It's part of her record. You can look it up.

During the campaign the GOP showed Bristol and Levi off like they were prize hogs at the 4H competition.

Sarah's ticket lost, and Levi got the hell away from the Palins. Smart boy. Today Bristol is an unwed mom, and Levi is the Baby Daddy.

Now the GOP and the Palins drag their 14 year old daughter into this sleazy controversey with Letterman, who shouldn't have dragged Palin's kids into Mom's ambitions. Let Sarah & Todd handle the classless displays.

Dave has all sorts of easy publicity in week 2 competing with Conan. He's playing the right wingers like they were a banjo.

The Palins get another 15 minutes of pub, and the right wing kooks get to raise money railing against the Hollywood/NY elites.

Win-Win.

Imus got fired for less. Letterman has got to go. What Letterman said was indefensible ... totsl sleaze. What did Sarah Palin's 14 yr old daughter do to deserve such a vile, immature attack?
It is time we began shutting down these lying liberal cess pools.
