You people are amazing. Do any of you realize the reason we all aren't working 18 hours a day for 4 dollars an hour is labor unions? Probably doesn't matter to any of you. You're all probably "disabled" welfare cases anyway.

Minimum wage is higher than 4 dollars...so that is way untrue. The reason we aren't working for 18 hours a day is because of labor laws...which the fed has plenty of to protect the worker.

I will agree that unions were good in their day, but they are just trouble causers now.

You are exactly right. Unfortunately trying to get an intelligent point across here is useless. Seems like most people who post on here would rather bash others in order to feel better about themselves. Many seem to think they get paid decent because of their superior abillities. They fail to realize that labor unions raised the standard of living and closed the gap between the rich and the poor and created the middle class that many enjoy.

Granted union have their problems. Many of the stories floating around about how they saved some lazy worthless guy's job multiple times are just plain false. If anybody cares to challenge that, bring on the proof. Every single problem a company has is a direct reflection on their poor management abilities. The union does not run the company management does. This is why every contract has the wording "Management reserves the right to manage the company".

Message to all you negative dim wits.... I don't care what your stupid ass has to say. You morons mean nothing to me. So you all can Kiss Ole GB's Ass.

Yeah...he really has to fight for all of that. That evil Bemis is so mean... they want to bring in a maximum of 10% temps. That is going to steal his job eh? If the union was honest about the contract, the strike would not have been voted in favor of. The contract states that no department can have more than 10% temps.
Regarding the health insurance, if the union is so worried about how Bemis handles the insurance, why don't they get their own group policy? Bemis would probably give the workers another couple of bucks an hour and the union can handle the huge overhead insurance requires.

The website was great! thanks. McCain had a much better stimulus plan, make every state a Right to Work state. 93% of working Americans (that don't work for the government) are PROUD to be non-union. I would offshore work to China, India, Vietnam or Mexico if I had to deal with the whiny union. Great quality work, lower wages, but above all employees that don't complain so much! Bemis officials, please understand that the majority of the community supports you and wants you to succeed and stay in Terre Haute. We fully understand that the union is behind the issues. Please do not lose sight that the majority of citizens know the truth.

world class pete from Clay City is Punkinhead, the fearless clueless former president of the doomed union. It is such the mentality of this union that will be its undoing.
