Danny Glover/Hugo Chavez

Did anyone see Danny Glover greeting and hugging Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez at a church in Harlem today? You have got to be kidding me. Mr. Chavez is a man who owns CITGO gas, derives a huge portion of his revenue from Americans who purchase his gas, and a man who has the audacity to come into our country and call our President the "devil" who "smells of sulfur." He made a mockery of the UN, our political system and the American people. Then, Danny Glover has the gaul to greet this man like a friend and welcome him into a church in Harlem to speak? What a hypocrite. For all those that are equally offended, I hope you will join me in boycotting any future films Danny Glover appears in. Danny Glover should remember he's become a millionaire from this great country and he should remember where his income has come from...that's right, the American people. Now he insults us all by this behavior. I will never see another one of his movies again.

Danny Glover is just another example of the fact that you don't have to be smart to be an actor, you just have to be able to act like you are. 49% of the people in Venezuela live on less than $2 a day, yet the country receives billions upon billions of dollars each year in oil revenue. What does Chavez do with this money? The people in Harlem will take his oil discounts, but they are Americans and will understand that he is only a thug trying to buy their loyalty. It won't work. We may not agree with Bush, but Chavez can't get away with denigrating our country or our President. Only we can do that. I too will never go to another Glover movie, nor will I ever again buy gas at the Venezuelan Citgo stations.

I agree completely. I too am boycotting any future films of Danny Glover. I was looking for an email address so I could personally let him know of my disgust and disappointment in his choice of friends. The freedom of this country which our men and women have died for is what allowed this man (Hugo Chavez) to speak as he did. It is this same freedom that I will exercise by not purchasing or supporting Danny Glover!

Does Danny Glover realize that people in Chavez's country are killed for expressing their views..no free press ..no freedoms...I will remember Glover for showing support for such an evil person..shame shame. God Bless America and Our President for facing evil.

Additionally, DG is meant to be recognized by the screen actors guild for his supposed, "...wide-reaching community activism and work in improving health care and education in the United States and Africa." Acknowledge it or not, Hollywood loves the DG's, Sean Penn's, Madonna's of this world to spread their hate. I won't be a party and am also banning all movies that they appear. Stay with PIXAR movies. My prayer is that the silent majority (us) can overcome this takeover of our borders, languages, and customs.

Im with you chris. When i entered this web site i saw a header that read "Report news about danny glover here". well ive got some news for them. I saw msr. glover kissing the ass of american hater hugo chavez. never see his movies again? that jackass has fallen off of the planet as far as im concerned. what an idiot.

WOW...what is up with Hollywood. Always expressing their interest in the government doing more for people...why, so people, families, and communities won't have to take responsibility or initiative for ANYTHING. Too many people wanting, not enough willing to get off their butts and take advantage of this GREAT COUNTRY. These Hollywood folks think they can throw their money at problems, get in the limo, drive away and call it a day. Hollywood needs to move to Chavez land. Danny G. is just as BLIND as the rest of Hollywood! They all make millions with hit movies and then turn on thier own counrty and support THUGS that would slit your throat for coming anywhere close to what freedoms we have here in the USA. I will NO LONGER SUPPORT HIS MOVIES!

Glover is a fine actor but not a good American. I will not go to see another Glover movie. I don't support people who take sides with men who wish to see our county distroyed. As for Chavez, mocking our President is one thing but when he pretends to be a man of faith he is mocking God... well, it won't be long before he is held accountable for his actions. It looks like he will be spending his eternity at Club Hell.
