How can people be so rude, sick and twisted? Making a hoax about the death of one enchanting child star is so horrible! The guy or girl who did this, deserves a very bad punishment for this. Dear Darrius and Demilo: It was just a sick and sorry hoax posted on a blogsite last April 10th. Fortunately, few people saw it. The problem was that it was posted on about 6 sites for a 6 week period because Dakota wasn't seen in public for that time period. There were a lot of worried kids as a result. I'm still angry at Dakota's agent for allowing that to go on. Of course, since the "Hounddog" story was made public in July, I'm a lot angrier at Cindy Osbrink!

It's amazing how this saddening story lingers! Once again; CNN did NOT post the "death notice" on their website. Some hoaxers took the leading headline as posted at one o'clock A.M. on CNN's site (April 10th), lifted it, inserted a cute, stock photo of Dakota and wrote in a brief comment that "mystery surrounds the death of loveable child actress Dakota Fanning". It appeared believeable and thereby elicited a rash of comments when it was posted on the blogs.

It was a sick deception that caused a lot of heartbreak to a lot of kids. CNN, however, was not at fault.

I have no clue what were talking but i would so love to meat Dakota like mog she is so flippen talented
