Actress' claim to be gay by choice riles activists

If she didn't choose to fall in love with a woman, then she doesn't choose IF she falls in love WITH women. If she's bisexual, then she can choose whatever gender she wants to be with, but she can't choose to NOT be bisexual.

Some people say that to get attention. I don't think anyone really believes it, except maybe the lame conservatives.

Really, Cynthia? You decided what you would find attractive? And who? Since no one else, gay or straight has been able to do this, exactly how did YOU accomplish it? Are you magical? Or, wait... are you god??

You may have decided to act on your gayness or to not hide your gayness or any of a series of other lifestyle options, but you did not CHOOSE to be gay. No one does. And if you continue to believe that you did, then you are just letting us see that we were wrong to think you were an informed individual worthy of our respect.

The only way she could "choose" her sexual orientation would be for her to be bisexual. The vast majority of gay and straight people do not have that option, period. So stop giving her so much attention; just say "Good for you" and continue the fight for true equality.

She is now saying she is bisexual, she just didn't want to state it that way.

Being a celebrity does not make one an expert on sexuality or equal rights.

It's refreshing to see someone who has Chosen to be gay admit that their lifestyle in CHOSEN, why can't the rest of the gays admit this?!?!

Vern, ol' buddy, according to the FBI, heteros (that's YOU, bubolah--presumably) account for 95% of child molestations. And that includes the men who molest young boys. Straights primarily do this. Pedophilia, a misnamed condition, is not about love, but about power. It is an act of aggression, an assault with battery. It is not a sexual act, though sex is used as the weapon. It's like rape in that way, which is also not a sexual act.

And it's you straights that are mostly doing it, not us gays.

So I can say, with actual facts backing me up, I sure wish you straights would stop molesting the little children.
