I love it but have to read it aloud to really get the most out of it. The richness of the alliteration, the kennings, etc. make it worthwhile. So much better than xbox...

A Beowulf movie? Now kids won't have to read that book in school either.

Beowulf is the perfect example of why the striking writers should be fired and replaced with an infinite number of monkeys and an infinite number of typewriters.

Grendel, John Gardiner's novel based upon the Beowulf tale, is one of the best books written in the '70s.
