The Counting Crows have not made a good album in years and are clearly in an artistic decline. August And Everything After was a masterpiece and arguably one of the best of the 90's. The two albums that followed, Sattelites and Desert Life were also very good but subsequent releases have fallen flat.

Hootie and The Blowfish have always been safe folk for the masses. They're harmless.

The article list the bands as being alt-rock which is entirely inaccurate.

I liked Hard Candy just as much as August, Sattelites and Desert. CC is a band you have to see live to really appreciate.

Your usage of their is incorrect. You should have used they're.

They're? Does saying 'maybe they are equipment will be stolen' sound right to you? It's great when people try to be smart and come out looking foolish.

"They're? Does saying 'maybe they are equipment will be stolen' sound right to you? It's great when people try to be smart and come out looking foolish." steve

That person meant the first "their"...hope "their" well armed and ready for a shooting.

Steve, it's great when irony and arrogance make your own criticism apply to you!

Most of these posts are not about the concert.
If you do not like the band, or Allentown, or anything else related - why post except that you don't have anything better to do with your time?

I'm not an Allentown fan but that will not keep me from experiencing the things that I enjoy.

CC Fan from Bethlehem is correct- Adam and the guys are just fantastic live- they routinely blend covers seemlessly into CC music (California Dreaming and Anna Begins anyone?)and perform interesting alternate versions of songs that make them worth seeing again and again.

( No, I do not follow them in a colorful VW bus.)

Thankfully, I doubt I'll see any of you English Experts at the show.

I may go. While I may not be to keen on their newer stuff, this will be a good show. Adam Durwitz overall is probably one of the best songwriters in contemporary music today.

I am not sure, but I think Allentown is "Hopless" these days. I do not think they are brewing beer at the old Stroh’s Brewery these days. The last I heard they were bottling Smirnoff Ice.

I saw Hootie & The Blowfish at Musikfest a few years ago and it was not that good. The opening act was Train; they were much better that day.

I was thinking they were experiencing a rabbit shortage. But yours sounds better.

These bands have not been relevant in 10 years. I might have paid to seem then but not now.
