anna wrote: <quoted text> dear righteous the problem is not when u fly in international air corridors cause it's legal and our plains won't chase u out, the problem is that most of the times u fly in greek airspace fully armed as if u were in a war! with actions like these u don't promote peace and stability, if u put ur place in the position of a greek habitant of the samos island u wouldn't really feel very safe seeing the turkish military plains fly over ur head all the time would u? Flying in International corridors is legal as long as the plane gives flight plans to the Area's FIR which for all the Aegean is Athens. Turkish jets do not provide these and this is the reason they are being pushed back. Also besides violating ICAO rules for safety they regularly fly over Greek islands which surely is not "International Airpsace"

niki here is a quote from yours... Flying in International corridors is legal as long as the plane gives flight plans to the Area's FIR which for all the Aegean is Athens. for all the aegean is athens ??? gotta be joking !!! we donot recognize athens as authority, we give the flight plans to Izmir you guys pretend to be aegean FIR line authority and thats the problem...! too much pretention for a small country...! niki I will repeat too much pretention for a small country, aegean is a greek lake ??? THIS IS A PROVOCATION DUDE !!! they tell you that turkish jets are always returning ha hah hah the greek jets might be running on hydrojen fuel then, since they donot return their bases ... or they never return neither jets nor pilots...!!! Nikitaras wrote: <quoted text> I do not know if you noticed changes after the End of World War but the Aegean IS a Greek "Lake" and shall remain so no matter what fanatics want you to believe. You now you shall be forced to abandon these tactics condemened by ALL civilised nations or never enter EU (even if you do not want to, your government does.) As for the dog fights there are some very interesting statistics on the Turkish fighters prowess in Greek Turkish dog fights that shows Turkish fighters ALWAYS heading back after an intercept. That should tell you a lot. As we say in Greek and as it concerns the Aegean "Molon Lave" that mean "Come and get it"

Dear Anna, please understand this again..we have no designs over any of our neighbours...period... Aegean is an internationally recognised "special waterway"where 12 mile limit does not apply nor usual FIR rules... after all i do not know what the problem is since your country-on the surface at least!_support our EU application, therefore Turkish jets flying over your heads should give you security as we are all in Europe, instead of fright...If we ever want to invade Greece-and we shall not...ever!-we would not rely on airpower but infantry and special forces so please do not worry about this exaggerated threat.....there is no threat from us as we have enough on our plate trying to be the 5th biggest economy in the world!!!

ICAO, the organisation for International FIR allocation has set Athens as the responsible country for the FIR that covers all of the Aegean. This is another of your defies of International law but thankfully things are taken care of well.

You remembered your old plans for the Aegean just after Cyprus. So yes Aegean is a GREEK lake, has always been and shall remain so. On your remarks concerning the violations and your pilots prowess there are many jokes going around in NATO for no-english speaking Turkish pilots doing a blue-on-blue (any idea what it is?) on almost every exercise...
