Stop throwing the racist label

Full story: Eureka Times Standard

I am sick and tired of anyone voicing opposition to any Obama administration policies being called a racist.

It could be, Robert, that some analysts wonder why you that "can't stand remaining quiet any longer" were silent while Bush spent us into oblivion, spied on us, breaking the law, and kept the financing of 2 wars off the budget, wasting hundreds of billions of dollars. That could cause some to label the protests as 'racist.'

Another point - if you say " We don't want those ignorant idiots to stand with us", then we have to ask why they aren't being denounced? Republican senators and representatives are speaking at town-halls where people are yelling "send Obama back to Africa" and holding pictures of our President with a bone through his nose, while the politicians are standing there smiling and waving. This could cause some analysts to call racism.

You're right, we're all Americans. Obama was elected President and he's our leader, so we're united by that fact. Dissent is patriotic, however, and the people must be heard. The form and forum of dissent must be correct. Substantive discussions should be had, but screaming hateful diatribes and dishonoring our leader in foreign countries is just plain wrong.

No offense, but dishonoring Bush overseas was a regular feature. And Obama's spending plans are an order of magnitude larger than Bush's spending.

Did I say something to make you think that it was OK to dishonor one President overseas, but not another? Or, are you trying to say that since Bush was dishonored on foreign soil that it's OK to dishonor Obama? Which one is it Dom?

This is hogwash! Bush kept the funding for 2 wars off the budget. How many billion was that? Are we to assume you were fine with that?

obama is worse than bush

and he doesn't even have a birth certificate

The only people who support this putz are the obama-zombies... the ones who talk big but never did a damn thing when GWBush was raping our constitution... the obama zombies who sat there while that disgusting TRAITOR pelosi declared impeachment to be "off the table".

Get a job GDumb... get a life. Go to school....

You and your obama apologists are a disgrace to this nation.

And how about all the black folks who voted for Obama just because he was black? Sounds racist to me.

Patriots and tea party nuts are McCarthy like and not American at all. They just wrap themselves in the flag. False patriotism in the name of bringing down our government. While these same tea baggers enjoy all the subsidized welfare that all of us do from roads, water, electricity, Medicare, and social security. And some local tea baggers enjoy tax credits on the housewife's big trucks, milk price supports, dairy buyouts, cheese programs, school milk purchases, farm loans and on and on and on. Patriots need to get real and look for balanced solutions. I certainly don't see them wanting to send back their social security, Medicare, or VA checks. I've seen local farmers swear they have never gotten anything from the government while standing on WPA sidewalks. Just following the Rush/Hannity/Beck lines verbatim. And sadly some of the patriots do hold up racist signs.

Yes, it was blatant racism when folks in Arizona were allowed to carry and brandish weapons at an Obama health care forum. Shocking and un-American. Can you imagine if several black men had shown up at a GWBush rally waving weapons? Those men would have been shackeled and carted away!

A rose by any other name still smells as sweet.

Blessed be.

Arcatawitch, you obviously didn't see the full video. The media is the worst offender for playing the race card. The guy carrying the AR-15 was black but they didn't show you that part.

http://www.youtube.com/watch...

areader: why is it that the same protest, but a different president, upsets Liberals so much? It's so offensive when it's YOUR guy in office that YOU voted for. Where were all the Glenn Beck haters when he was calling for Bush to be impeached? Oh yeah, that was ok then because it was the other president.

It is normal for the dems to start crying when they start getting backed into a corner. If they sound bad now, wait for two or three more months when they start getting squeezed harder to justify their leaders dangerous ideas and foolish decisions.

Racism is a tool used by the rich and powerful to keep the poor at each others throats, so that they don't unite against their common enemy... the filthy rich and powerful. It is a grand illusion. Poor whites don't realize that they are just as despised by the wealthy whites, as the minority groups they've been trained to hate. The more scared the status quo gets about losing control... the louder they bang the drums of rasicm.

And they weren't "allowed", it is their right to carry arms in the open in AZ and many other states. Not like KA where Political correctness reigns and people are basically subjects and only the Diane Feinstein's of the state are allowed to protect themselves with a CCW.

And BTW, black or not, Juggie is a lying SOS. Anytime his lips are moving, he is lying. You can't trust him on any subject, other when he says he is out to drive this country into a socialist mold and take as much as he can get from us.

Hooray, thanks for the video, and yes, you are correct about the media's meddling in all of this... still though, it baffles me that anybody with a weapon was allowed in the proximity of the president. Ever since the horrible murders of the late 60s and the attempt on Reagan's life in the 80s, our government has been vigilant about keeping weapons away from where the pres is. We have our first black pres and now folks in Arizona can bring their weapons to the rally. Really now.

Blessed be.

Ahh yes, another whining rant from the war-cheerleading assholes who were conspicuously silent while that drunken fool of a President ran this country into the ground after eight years of malfeasance, torture and making sure his rich buddies got wonderful tax breaks and no-bod contracts. Sorry Robert, you and you clan of clueless clowns waited far too long to express your displeasure. You waited until a black man took office to all of a sudden rediscover you fiscal sanity?

I'm not buying it Robert, just as those who attended the tea bagging fests with their racist posters, their bull crap fears about Obama killing grandma and the other and all sundry garbage talking points, you waited far too long to complain about policies that are actually geared toward investing in our nation and not enriching Saudi princes or murderous corporations like Blackwater.

You get no respect, you hang with outright and blatant racists and you follow the marching orders of unapologetic racists like Malkin, Beck and Limbaugh. You don't like being called a racist? Oh well, sucks to be you I guess.

You'll cheer on the deaths and maiming of hundreds of thousand of innocent Iraqi citizens, but won't take the time to support your own neighbors. Go to hell.

It must be great to your own ready made, on demand cheering section like old Roa d Toa d.

I mean, imagine what it must be like to have a loyal little coven of followers who think like you, talk like you and agree with every thing you say no matter how absurd or childish.

JustStop,
Do you know me? Do you know who I associate with or what I feel? Why is it that left wing fanatics find it so difficult to have an intelligent conversation or debate without insulting people or name calling? You have no idea how I feel or live my life. You apparently don't know that I have a very interracial family, yet you call me a racist. How dare you.
Have you actually been to a so called tea party and spoken intelligently with the people there, or have you just driven by and yelled insults? Maybe you just watched some of the small video clips shown on the news. Yes there are a very small number of ignorant people that show up with stupid, racist and insulting signs and slogans. These people show up having no idea what the tea partiers stand for. Similar to when the left wingers protest and a few trouble makers show up to their demonstrations.
So before you start telling people what they think or what they stand for, educate yourself, get your facts straight and stop acting like a prejudiced biggot.

Another idiot statement. It may sound like it to you but can you sound some factual stats to back it up?
Of course not.

How about all the folks that voted for McCain because he's white, does that sound racist to you also?

yeah, no doubt people voted for McCain just because he was white.

And I don't need factual stats to placate you. I had people tell me to my face they voted for Obama based on skin color. Guess somehow that makes me the idiot.(?) Racism works both ways but people the likes of you can't accept that when it's against your cause.

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Virgo

Be careful you don't wind up doing someone else's work today, Virgo. There are all sorts of little tricks to persuade you to take pity on them, from pretending to be ill to making such a hash of everything that you can't bear to watch for a moment longer. Then you are likely to be asked to put in some overtime, at the expense of your social life. Grr.
