Conan O'Brien gets ready to host 'Tonight Show'

Conan will be a big flop.

I think he'll be OK.

I wanna see Jimmy Fallon.

I want to go to there.

If Conan brings the NY show west he will fail..He needs to bring a new game
to the tonight show.. What is different
with Conan he's had his own show for a long time its going to be hard to get people that don't care for him to try him again... And jays show at ten will take some of his share. I did not care for leno at first but he grew on me and now i will miss him on the tonight show.

not Conan,Letterman,Kimmel nor Leno..regardless of what time they are on,,could ever hope to replace Carson.Yes I am an old fart,but Carson was the master,and none of the aforementioned can come close to his style,,damned if I'll give up watching CSI(even with Grissom gone)to view Leno,who is really not funny,,he enjoys making fun of all but himself,,I await your replies.

There will never be another Carson i watched him growing up and still miss him after all these years... If i had to pick one host from today it would be Leno not that he will ever come close to Carson.. I just think hes better than the rest..I don't think Letterman is funny at all.. I dont know how he has stayed on this long ,I guess that's the best they have to offer... One thing was Carson was on less and less towards the end it was getting hard to catch him on!

Conan O'Brien is certainly very different than either Johnny Carson, or Jay Leno, but he has a shot to prove his crtics wrong, just as Leno did when many thought he could never fill Carson's enormus shoes. At least its only light entertainment, it isn't like any of this really matters except to a few people who have to sell TV ad's.

Maybe they should do what the News Business did, and have a Co-Host, I'd vote they offer the job to comedian/actress Tina Fey. A new sorta George & Gracie !

The day conan o'brien "takes over" the Tonight Show is the day NBC has given up on TV. He is NOT funny by any stretch of the imagination. Johnny Carson was the Master, Leno is good and entertaining, once conan starts hosting The Tonight Show, I and many others will switch to Letterman.

And though I wish Leno luck at 10pm, i don't think it's a good timeslot for his type of show.

Conan excels in mediocrity. When you have to try to be funny or humorous,YOU'RE NOT. He was a has-been since he has been. A notch below Letterman and far below Leno. No one can compare to Carson

I think you are right... What i read
is Jay new show is going to be very different because of the time slot (I guess they call it prime time)I hope Conan does well but i don't see it working out... Its kinda hard to believe they cant find anyone that can be real good at as late night talk show!

The only part of the Tonight show worth watching right now is the monologue during the first 15 minutes. Leno and Kevin Eubanks are great together. The rest of the show $ucks.

I always am surprised by those who decide to forecast a persons failure before they even have an opportunity to do anything. Many people rise to a challenge, while some rise only to the level of their own incompetence. While Conan O'Brien has been in a simialr position he still has yet to replace Jay Leno, and that can make a big difference. I for one hope Conan succeeds at the show, and builds on his experience doing the late night host.

Agree the end really sucks with the loser bands.

He couldn't even SHINE Jay Lenno's Shoes ! What can you expect that channel has made many MISTAKES BEFORE !
BUT this one takes the cake " ANOTHER
