Will the real Andy Richter please stand up 'Tonight'?

What is the point of this column?

He did add a band member. James Wormworth. He's the guy that filled in for Max when Max went on the road with Bruce Springsteen. He's now a permanent member of the band.

As for Andy Richter, I think he should go away period. Late Night did not become funny until Andy left. Maybe Conan needed Andy's help while learning the ropes of being a host, but he does not need that anymore. I miss Joel Goddard.

Andy should be standing where Ed McMahon did -- offstage, until the host sat down. Then the announcer/sidekick sits next to him.
Their chemistry helped their show click when it was first on in 1993.

Totally agree! I believe that Andy Richter will be the downfall of the Tonight Show

Andy sucks. He is taking away from the show. Andy ruined senior o'brian as well as the trip down the LA river. Andy may be a funny person, but if most of the show's audience doesn't think so then he's not funny enough to be on the show.

How long will it take for NBC and conan to realize this? Maybe after the ratings drop into the toilet. Then they'll realize that something is wrong and point the finger at andy.

Putting him on the couch will be the WORST idea ever. The man isn't funny. Whatever he and conan had before is no longer there and will never be there again. I think it'll be. Few painful months of andy before they realize it and andy will once again leave the show.

That tool is ruining the Tonight Show.

Too bad Conan considers him too close a friend to get rid of his non-funny ass.

I hope he dies, because that's probably the only way we get rid of him and let The Tonight Show blossom.

If Conezy keeps hitting low marks on ratings. I hope that he'll switch things up and bring Andy back on the couch. He was a great second banana many years ago and whenever he was on as a guest he brought the laughs. I liked Joel the old announcer-great third banana, I say give Andy his banana and bring Joel back as announcer.
I'm not sure if Conan would go for it though. His ego needs some of that hemorrhoid cream. It's late what do you expect?
