With no dis-respect to Conan, he simply has not shown the right style for the Tonight Show. I suppose that NBC is committed to this move for now, but I hope that if Conan fails to maintain the strength of the show that Carson, Leno, and Parr have established, that NBC could be open to bringing back Leno after a 6 month leave, and then interweave Leno with potential future hosts to find the right one.

Conan is ok but he is no Jay Leno. I have watched Conan's show and he simply is not the man for the job. I've been a fan since Johnny Carson and was unsure but open to Jay Leno taking over. With Conan, I already turn the channel when he's on and so does my 20 year old daughter. Please don't lose Jay and mess up the tonight show!

i wouldn't call conan dumb either, actually he is very intelligent.

it is his style of humor that is geared towards the dumber audience.

Give me a break! Conan is a genius. He was Magna Cum Laude at Harvard. That's THE HARVARD. So I'm not sure you're accurate in calling him dumb.

You may not get his humor...but Conan has a large following. Many big name celebrities prefer his talk show over the others.

He will need to tune it down a little for the earlier show...so it may appeal a little more to the OLD PEOPLE in this forum.

Next time know what you're talking about before you call someone dumb.

Leno was doing Dorito's commercials when he took over for Carson. At least Conan has a show already. I'm sure he'll seem a lot funnier when he has the tonight show writers writing his jokes. Good writing is all you need. He'll do fine.

My vote on Conan is a BIG "NO." Someone with more class and professionalism is needed. Conan has none.

The Tonight Show is doomed, and it appears that the NBC head honchos won't realize it until viewers change their channels the night after Jay leaves. Excuse my brashness, but Conan acts like an idiot. He's an insult to the former stars of The Tonight Show.

conan has plenty of class, its the writers on Late Night that make him seem like an idiot. With the new writers and a much larger budget all of america and CANADA will tune in to watch Conan.

Just because you dont get Conan's sense of humor, doesn't mean he's not funny. He is alot like british comedy, either you get it, or you don't. Maybe NBC is trying to target another generation with Conan?! I am 25 and Hubby is 28, we are excited about the transition! If you don't like it...go watch Letterman.**Gags**

Conan is hilarious. His writers are great, and I cannot wait to see him in his new time slot. It's not fair to bash someone who hasn't even been given a chance. Honestly I hope the show stays similar to the one he has right now.

I think it shows that audiences are generational. People that started watching Conan 16yrs ago are now getting to the age where 12:30am is a bit late. Leno is a great writer, but has a tough time holding a younger audience, mostly do to his horrible interviewing skills. As Jimmy Fallon takes Conan's old job and turns it into a "live-computer" for the new generation of 12:30am, Conan breathes a bit of fresh life into Leno's tired schpiel.

Conan will cause the venerable Tonight Show franchise to finally tank. Most of us will look for Jay's new show and the Tonight Show will become a distant memory of how 'it used to be'. Hopefully the execs catch on and toss Conan before the show is wrecked, permanently.

He's too prickly for middle America and I just don't find him funny.

You have to be kidding - Conan should have as much talent as Leno does in the tip of his pinky finger. Conan is just a self-possessed, bore.
