White House defends invite to rapper Common

No, certainly doesn't welcome or like all races.

Probably reflects Reverend Wright and the Obama's views.

Shaking head. I don't like rap, but I saw Common's performance on another station. Let's see, the rap he performed had a Christian message, and talked about how kids should strive and excel. It sounded positive. I'm sure he had to give a sample before he was invited. I find it interesting that most of the performers invited to the white house were white, and the only one, the only one, let me repeat, the ONLY ONE Fox News is yelling about is .........

The reports from Fox, MSNBC, CNN and other all say the same thing. Why signle out Fox? There have been negative and postive from all networks.

Once again the racist network fox news looks to paint this President as “other”,“out of touch with regular America’”. Different Presidents have different taste in art and different favorite artists. 30 years ago the Reagans paraded the likes of Frank Sinatra and Bob Hope to the White House to perform. The Clintons hosted artists like James Taylor, Bob Dylan, and Fleetwood Mac.

Now President Obama continues the great American tradition of showcasing a wide variety of artists by hosting Common. Stop and think about it; another segment of Americans feel a little more pride and a little more ownership of our great country.

It's a tremendous thing, a great night for America.
