I believe you mean "The Quiet Man"?. Yes, that is a very good film. They usually show it on TV every year about this time.

filmed in Knock, Co. Mayo, with John Wayne as a boxer who kills a man in the ring and goes to Ireland to try and forget his past. He meets Maureen O'Hara, a red haired lass from the wild West of Ireland. Barrie Fitzgerald is the priest of the parish and Donald Crisp is another oscar winner featured. A great film that should be first on the list of Irish films. Victor McLauglin plays a great role as the brother of the redhead and
The Mollie Maguire's was a dull film made in Jim Thorpe and Eckley about immigrant miners that was mostly embellished.
The Commitments and Saving Ned Devine should have been listed with The Quiet Man as No. 1.

Saving Private Ryan was filmed in Co. Wycklow, and Braveheart was filmed in Co. West Meath, west of Dublin. The films listed have little to do with Hibernia, such as Miller's Crossing and In America, about Irish-American Criminals.

This is a weak list of true Irish experience films.
Try some of these:
Angela's Ashes
The Nephew
This Is My Father
Waking Ned Devine
Circle of Friends
The Magdalene Sisters
Agnes Browne
Here is an Irish-American experience film: The Brothers McMullen

Good list, but I'd still add the Quiet Man

Daily Horoscope for January 6

Taurus

Try to keep your energy a little bit more under control. If you scatter in all directions, you'll end up hot and bothered. Mars tends to rev up your engine, but an awkward aspect to Saturn will make everything go in stops and starts. As soon as you try to shift into higher gear you meet immovable objects at the moment, so the solution is to slow down. There are wonderful, uplifting influences hanging around as well as tricky ones, so just hang in there.
