this will work as well as Dukakis picking Bentsen or Dole picking Kemp. When most of the voters conclude the ticket is in the wrong order you lose. Badly. Which is something you are uniquely able to explain among CT Democrats

This article is nonesense. Hillary didn't "earn" the Vice-Presidential nod. It isn't something for her or her supporters to select. The question for Obama is would Hillary be a good fit in his Administration and clearly she would not. The Clintons have never played second fiddle to anyone and these recent demands about placing her name in nomination are more of the same. This race isn't about Hillary and Bill, it is about Obama beating McCain. Perhaps Hillary would give a short term boost in the polls but she has also gotten a free ride for the last two moths, as soon as she is selected that ends and the Clintons record of scandal would again be in the news with perhaps new revelations. Obama would be wise to pick someone else

For your rural Democrats, I think Hillary and the Hillbilly are a gimme for the Barack Obama. I say take the gimme. For John McCain? I like Mike. Mike Huckabee that is... but hey that's just what I think...

Chris Dodd could do it??? With all that baggage about his Countrywide sweet deals hanging over his head? Gee Bill... it's no wonder you never made it to the Governor's seat.

With all of the statements made by Hillary and her husband during the Primary, she would definately be the wrong one for him to choose. I'm sure he will make the right choice for him and that is all we want. He will be our next President. Go Obama

Obama? Well maybe until his insipid response to the 3:00am Georgia call. Don't count out a Denver surprise by the Clintons. The Clintons have too much invested in blood and money to roll over. The "special Obama file" that the Clintons must have up their sleeves has yet to be unearthed. When they spring their trap, Denver will never be the same. Clinton vs McCain in November-God help us all!

I think it will be difficult for Obama when Hillary is being quoted in John McCain commercials on why Barack Obama is unqualified to be president. It will be impossible to win if she is the VP on Obama's ticket and all that garbage she threw out comes back. "She came back and almost made it a tie". Yeah she did, but she did it real dirty in Pennsylvania. And once she and Bill figured out where Bill's winking ("he's black"), would play, they had 2 national names going against a new comer..... and they still ultimately lost.

Hillary is the "hold card" in this election. If Barack Obama does not choose Hillary ... I think we will see an election that is once again 51 - 49. That's rolling the dice. What we need is a "voter mandate". We need a landslide! Pick Hillary ... let her do her thing as if she were still running in the Democratic Primary except she is bashing the GOP, not Barack. Also, you get President Clinton... Do not under-estimate the old man... He still has it! And who else is better equipped to bash the GOP than President Clinton... no one! So, what's it going to be boys...?

Sure, this would be the smart thing for Obama to do, but I don't think he has the guts, or the humility. He wouldn't want someone to outshine him, and from the end of February forward, Hillary clearly did, and still does. Obama's ego has his thinking a bit cloudy, and I don't think he feels he needs Hillary. Lessons are difficult things, but it's time Obama and the DNC learn a very important one.

Please stop trying to shove Hillary down our throat. Obama will do just fine without her. The Republicans are already having a field day with what she said about him during the primaries. The Republicans will destroy him if he picks her.

Yeah, right. Bill Curry, who had two shots at governor and lost both is telling others how to win their election. Obama should do the opposite of whatever Curry says. This perenial loser Curry as a writer is yet another hint at how out of touch the courant is and why they are going under. When the layoffs come Curry should go before any actual working employees.

I am sick to death of hearing how Clinton is a "woman of extraordinary ability." Pelosi, Boxer, Ginsburg, Sibelius, Maloney & so many others are women of extraordinary ability. I have yet to hear of a single extraordinary achievement or act of courage attributable to Hillary Clinton. She has been a totally ineffective Senator from NY, a position she stole from NY women because of who her husband was.

In case no one is paying attention, Obama holds a very slim lead over McCain. He needs a VP choice who will energize the ticket. Clinton is the appropriate choice, for a number of reasons. She would energize the ticket, and increase his margin substantially. She has the experience he lacks, and their platforms are much the same. She has a reputation for being able to work not only with Democrats, but also across the aisle, to make things happen--which is basically what she is trying to do now to rally support for Obama. But Obama needs to remember one thing more. He is making history by being the first Black to run for president. If he doesn't have a woman as a running mate, he is closing out the chance for a woman to run for president or vice-president for at least 8 years (if he wins and is re-elected, or if McCain wins), and possibly much longer. Would he deny a much-earned opportunity to a particular woman, or to women in general? Will he reach out to women? I don't think many Clinton supporters will vote for misogynistic McCain. A lot will just choose not to vote at all in their hurt and disappointment, their yearning for recognition. And what a slap in the face it would be for a woman other than Hillary to be chosen. Obama, how about a little common sense and affirmative action here? You've touted yourself as an agent of change, of being noble and generous. Affirmative action is change. Sharing the spotlight is being noble and generous. Personally, I will not vote for Obama unless he chooses Hillary as a running mate. Otherwise, I will write her name in on the ballot.

The Clintons gave us Nafta, and Hillary moved all the jobs to India that she could find. They have ruined our industrial base, and Billary is being paid of by the Corporatists. Since the primary he has already taken in another $10,000,000. If Curry wants to deal with Hillary, do it on his own dime. How about that other $10,000,000 that Bill recieved from the Arabs? The country has had a "For Sale" sign on it ever since the Clintons took over the White House, Rid us of those Arkansas Hillbillies.

Yea sure. Why does he not pick DUDD as his running mate. Just think of the contributions from the banks. another thing The Big O is not a reformer he is a machine politician from Chicago period. In fact last year he was solely responsible for shutting down a major reform effort. What a joke. no story on DUDD yet.
