Vince D'Onofrio AND Jeff Goldblum.. I'm in HEAVEN. Yes, I do love the BIG guys- they each have so much presence... you know what I mean- REAL MEN! D'Onofrio's interesting manerisms and Goldblum's stylized vocal phrasing make them unique and fun to watch. Hopefully they will write Jeff's character as intellgent and quirky as Goren is in his own way- we're always delighted and entertained by the depth and diversity of Goren's knowledge. I'm surprised to read so many negative comments about his character, as we get a huge kick out of Bobby at my house! Now all they need is a better partner for Jeff that will compliment him as beautifully as Eames does Goren. I can hardly wait!

I think Law and Order should not be cancelled and they should have never let Chris North go either

Sorry to see Chris leave again. I really, really like him. I'm also a fan of Jeff Goldblum and thoroughly enjoyed "Raines". I was very disappointed when it was cancelled. Glad to see Jeff back on TV.

Totally agree Starr247 wrote: Never was a fan of Noth. With Goldblum coming on board, this should be a treat to watch week in and week out. Both D'Onofrio and Goldblum are outstanding actors so this should elevate this series back to its glory days.

Goldblum has often played quirkey characters so I don't understand the casting at all. Law & Order has survived without Noth before but this casting change is a huge stretch. I predict a ratings decline unless the writing and other support cast rise greatly.

Chris Noth brought a much-needed balance to the show. D'Onofrio's role has gotten so eccentric that he is simply no longer believable as a law enforcement officer. He's become the "Monk" of the L&O constellation, to the increasing detriment of the show. I find the recent Goren episodes almost unwatchable. Hopefully, Goldblum will continue Noth's role as an actual working detective.

Law & Order: Criminal Intent is my favorite show! I am looking forward to seeing Jeff Goldblum on the show... It will be interesting to see what his character brings to the show.
However, I LOVE GOREN!!!!!:-) No one can replace him! I'm glad Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe are still on the show! Goren and Eames are the BEST detective team, ever!
I can't wait for season 8!!!!!!!
