Chris Noth was great in that role. I don't know if I'll keep watching the show now. He was the only reason I watched, I stopped watching the episodes with the other team. I hope the writers do a better job with Goldblum than they do with D'Onofrio. I want to watch someone figuring stuff out, not someone who already knows all these obscure facts that help him solve the crime. D'Onofrio's character is annoying!

D'Onofrio's 'Goren' is one of the great Sherlock Holmes type characters in all of television history. His acting ability is top-notch and I am perplexed by the negative posts. Comparing him with Chris Noth is a no-go. Noth's character can be replaced by, frankly, dozens of actors. I can't imagine L&O:CI without Goren. After all, the show was fine for four seasons without a sign of Noth - an overrated pretty boy-type who has little depth.

Jeff just doesnt sell to me as a police detective. His last series was really bad. He was a P.I on that!

Never was a fan of Noth. With Goldblum coming on board, this should be a treat to watch week in and week out. Both D'Onofrio and Goldblum are outstanding actors so this should elevate this series back to its glory days.

It is a great loss to Law & Order losing Chris Noth. He is the show! It won't be the same without him!

First of all D'Onofrio is great as Goren. What a character. Enjoy watching his episodes. I don't dislike Noth. He is also good in the role and I'll be sorry to see him leave. As for Goldblum, I'll have to watch his episodes and then make my judgement. How can you tell before even seeing him play the part? Give the guy a chance.

Vincent d'Onofrio is the finest actor I have ever seen and I have been on this planet a long time. He is an over the top actor, handsome, sexy and all man. He overshadows hollywood in every way and should have received an Emmy for some time.
Be safe, be well, be happy Mr d'Onofrio.

Another Great Show Bites the DUST! Chris Noth is great to look at and after his Sex in the City role, I was thinking HE really was "Mr Big". There is no replacement for Chris's role on Law & Order CI. Please don't go!!!!!!!!!!

Chris Noth was excellent on Law and Order. He was realistic, and had a sense of humor. D'Onofrio is too weird, cannot watch him. Where did Chris Noth go?

I love D'Onofrio as Goren. Grew to really like Noth as Logan after he came on board. Sorry he is leaving.

Biggest problem with CI is that the quality of the writing seems to have gone downhill since the series switched to USA. I no longer have to watch an episode several times before I understand what happened.

It's a shame he's leaving. Goldblum is a good actor so he should slip in fine. They should of got rid Julianne Nicholson. The show was so much better when Alicia Witt was on it. Julianne can't act which is why her shows get all cancelled. Plus she's an eye sore. Hopefully they come to their senses and kill her off.

Sorry to see Chris leave. I loved his episodes equally with Vincent's. Why is Chris leaving? Just tired of the character? Maybe he will make guest appearances. What would be nice. Thank goodness for reruns. BTW, his final episode was very good. One of my favorites.
