'Caddyshack' actress' golf fundraiser spawns lawsuit

Still sort of famous 25 years after she played Lacey Underall in one of the most-quoted comedies ever made, Chicago native Cindy Morgan agreed to try to reunite some of the cast of "Caddyshack" for a charity ...

Hamilton Mitchell, who played a caddy named Motormouth in the film, sued Morgan in a California court for failing to pay his appearance fee.

LOL! Who the h-e-double-hockey-sticks is Hamilton Mitchell?

I'm guessing he didn't get his "appearance fee" because no one realized he had been in the movie!

This all sounds like a stunt to create buzz for a new movie, for "CaddySHACKED," starring Hamilton, Cindy Morgan and various porn stars.

And I'll bet that everyone who attended took something off on their taxes for this 'fund raiser'.

Anyone who ever saw Caddyshack knows who she is/was.

An appearance fee to do a charity event. Real nice guy that Mitchell is. I wonder how many other Hollywood "stars" are paid for their charity work? What a crock....

I think the article is right. I think Cindy was trying to-do the right thing, but got in over her head in a situation that she was unfamiliar with. Could happen to any of us, it is just that this is a more expensive mistake than most people have to deal with.

And for those that know movies, she is very recognizable. Myself, I will always remember her for her role in TRON, but of course she was in Creepshow (the water zombie eppy) and the obvious Caddyshack.

MOST OF THEM! That's one reason you need to really think out your charitable contributions to some of the larger non-profits.

Trust me, these "celebs" are not showing up to the breast cancer race because they're concerned about other people's health issues.

Oh no question about recognizing her face albeit not her name. She was a rich girl with a member daddy and wanted to be tied up with ties by Chevy. Went braless in a scene or two. I have the movie and will watch it again tonight. HOWEVER, these other people I don't even remember. It was Billy's and Chevy's movie. The rest were in the background.

This is a sad case of a good thing gone bad. Why can't "Motormouth" quit his yaming and concentrate on getting work like the rest of us? Why can't Marriott just count this as a loss and go on overcharging guests. Caddyshack was really a Chevy Chase, Rodney Dangerfield and Ted Knight film. Bill Murray played a memorable, but not equa, role. That being said, Chevy and Bill are the two biggest stars of the film who are still alive. But alas, it sure was fun seeing Cindy Morgan on the Channel 9 news last night.

You will never have Murray and Chase showing up at the same function. They both hate the other guy.

Who is Cindy Morgan? More people know her than they know Chijac8. What an A-hole he must be.

Two characters who made this film great, Rodney Dangerfield and Ted Knight are dead. Other cast members who are alive and were adsked to help out on a good cause, did not have a good excuse to miss it.

Keep on trying Cindy.

You're right. I guess that you believe that all hotels or business owners whould excuse bills for people who spent more than they could afford!

Why should Marriot have to pay the price for this c-list actress' mistakes and incompetence?

I think it is ridiculous that these celebrities charge to make an appearance for fund raisers. Moreover, I think Hamiliton Mitchell has to be a pretty sad soul to actually sue for his fee when the event was a bust. Whatever happened to actually donating your time. That's what us regular folks do!
Most of us think celebrities are doing these events because they actually care about the charity they are raising money for.

I am saddened by the whole turn of events that transpired. Sounds like Morgan was trying to do a good thing and it all fell apart. Why aren't these super rich celebs coming to the rescue of the event?

Fact--charitable events COST MONEY to put on--if you do not know what you are doing, then stay the hell away from them. What happened is most unfortunate.
