Yeah and the mark up is 1000%. These audiologists will be making an awful lot of money on the loss of others hearing loss. There should be an honest audiologists that will not use that markup percentage and be of a service at a good reasonable dollar amount. But we know that that will not happen.

When I was 16 I wore aids and vanity got in the way so I tossed them out. Nearly 40 years later, after numerous complaints about my loud voice, my rude interruptions, my inability to hear instructions, mistakes made in phone numbers over the phone, I relented and got hearing aids in both ears. I fought them, then my friend suggested I quit fighting and what I learned is that it is truly a very interesting world we live in. I welcome the world of the hearing. My favorite thing to do is when someone makes a comment they aren't used to me hearing and I pipe up with "I heard that." If you suspect you might need aids, step up and don't delay - it will change your life for the better. I wear my hair behind my ears so folks can see them. I feel younger with them because I'm not straining so hard to hear what the other person is saying. I hear emergency vehicles and pull over when there were times I didn't hear them. As for the crunch - I just paid $600 to replace one of them because I was careless so yes, that bites, but, not hearing bites harder.

I agree about the hearing better, but the markup is what makes me upset with the sellers. 1000% markup is way too much.
