It seems as if the Big Room has been hijacked and the only bands allowed to play there are within the strict confines of the harmonica based blues genre. This is a wonderful venue and asset to the community and I think they need to find a new artistic director who would be open to recruiting more and diverse talent to play there. Because they WOULD play there.

And I live in Chico and have for 10 years, not Sacramento, as the label under my name suggests.

I am intrested in putting to rest the long argued issue of who really wrote "The Thrill is Gone" I contend that Jimmy McCracklin was the writer and owner of "The Thrill is Gone" and should be rightfully givin the true acclaim due him all these years since 1948,where he has exizbited proof to this claim in the form of a "poor man's copyrighted" letter dated 1948 i would ask all of the true blues lover's in the world see this letter opened in a news media forum and legal forum to set the hall of fame records correct
once and for all. Thank you send comments to wjjackson2003@yahoo.com
