No. Kathleen, it's not the worst of times...yet. It will be, though in 2 or 3 years when the terrorists are making monthly attacks on American interest because Obama will be to spineless to defend us other than some pretty-sounding denunciations and maybe a few economic sanctions thrown in.

There may not be beheadings(at least not that is known in our country, but we are well aware of it in Africa and parts of the Middle East), but we continue to see thousands of people (especially our youth and young adults) murdered each year. While we have multiple concerns about how President Obama will handle international terrorists' actions, how is he going to help change the pervasive death that permeates our cities? Will he be a beacon of light for our inner cities or will it continue to be business as usual on our streets? Let us pray that it is the former, because there is a culture of death in parts of our cities and towns without even having Middle Eastern or other international terrorists declaring war on our citizens.

The worst is certainly yet to come. January 20, our enemies will celebrate the day America fell.

Guess it's time for you to be moving out Bill P. I would pity the country you immigrate to, however. Condolences on your loss, you must be very upset.

Emigration would require leaving the foil-lined, broadband-equipped basement bunker-- far too risky.

Not the worst of times?

Have you seen the Stock Market's reaction to Obama's victory?

Can't wait to see what happens when the "Great Intellect" starts increasing taxes.

Hope everyone is ready to sacrifice as the "Great Intellect" said in his victory speech.

Happy Socialism, America!

I am new to reading online comments and find myself disheartened by the meanness of so many contributors. When did we become a nation of disrespectful, hate-filled, irrational citizens? Those who are worried about terrorists from without need to consider the damage their vitriolic words do from within. Reasonable civil discussion would be so refreshing!

Daily Horoscope for January 6

Taurus

Try to keep your energy a little bit more under control. If you scatter in all directions, you'll end up hot and bothered. Mars tends to rev up your engine, but an awkward aspect to Saturn will make everything go in stops and starts. As soon as you try to shift into higher gear you meet immovable objects at the moment, so the solution is to slow down. There are wonderful, uplifting influences hanging around as well as tricky ones, so just hang in there.
